Maybe he was told by the new coach not to fight and to try to play hockey (which we all know he can not do). When Buffalo was down 2-0 and then 3-0, those were the perfect times for that to happen and that is what he has always has done in the past. Have to believe the coach told him not to. - rmiethaner
I agree, Scott is not a wussy, nor a coward, Nolan has likely come in and changed the whole system,he is trying to focus the team on hockey, not gooning, I like Nolan, cass act guy, he is a big upgrade over that mindless POS. |

Every goal is rangers fault. Even when he's covering for the other d or taking out a player.
Basically ranger is expected to do everything by fans if not he sucks. - Yeti1181

And yet they are the most fiscally responsible government for years.
I say send some mind altering drugs to our provincial leaders to help with that mess. |

Wouldn't be much of a war without the Leafs best foot soldier AAA. I seem to be at war with myself lately. But I won't change my game cause that's what got me here. |

Played like crap. or no defense?
They were giving up 40 shots a night. I don't remember them getting blown out...
"played like crap" Is inaccurate - Cherry--Skoal
His game against Edmonton was poor. We scraped out a win in spite of him.
That kicked off a stretch of 5 games where he allowed 18 goals with a save percentage below .900 (including that infamous 200 foot dump in).
He's played very well since that stretch and very well before it, but in every instance where you think he's got the job locked up, he lets his foot off the gas.
There are three teams we've played twice this year, and in a funny coincidence, each goalie has played them once. Reimer beat Minny, while Bernier lost. Reimer beat Buffalo, while Bernier lost. Bernier beat Edmonton (5 goals allowed), but Reimer got the shutout.
I'm not trying to cut Bernier down - he's been phenomenal - but there's a good case to be made that Reimer is still the best goalie in the organization right now. Now that's saying something. |
