Sounds like quite a lot of praising for deserving Dudley. Thing is, this is probably the biggest rebuilt since the new age hockey lockout in early 2000s. There are only two worthy players on the team: Miller and Moulson (who will most likely leave the team at the end of the year since he's got too much going for himself and Sabres can't offer much to him).

So I am interested in seeing what kind of tricks Dudley can pull out of his hat for this club. Nonetheless, congrats on getting a great general manager.

EDIT: I hope this all pans out for Buffalo. It's a lot more fun to hate you guys on a molecular level when you don't suck. Hurry up and rebuild.

I hope so too. Rivalries are better when the teams can actually compete. I love hating the B's, and being able to beat them!

Sounds to me Lafontaine is going to pick between Jim Benning, Dudley and Botterill

he did make a lot of our cup team in tampa... but without those four guys we wouldnt have won it. all were very important pieces.

Still waiting for the Mtl turnaround. Since his arrival to Mtl, no major trade has happened. Draft looks good so far, but we will only see the results in 3-5 years.

Yeah, didn't Stafford have hat-tricks in 2 consecutive games a couple years back? Definitely fun when its a game. I also like hearing the B's announcers on Centre Ice, they're hilarious. Play-by-play guy absolutely despises us and the color guy gets caught up in it and makes comments he later retracts (upon review). No disrespect, they're entertaining and great personalities. They were unbearable years ago but they've grown on me. You'd be surprised how many other team's announcers are complete bores and just chit-chat through the game telling stories, one game against Carolina they had "coach" Cower in the booth and talked about football for an entire period!

Nah. We'll sign a vet or two late in the market to one year deals for more money than they are worth. Ala someone like a Jason arnott for 5 million (I know he retired, its just an example)

If we don't give anyone a dime between now and next season, we'll be 10M BELOW the floor (teams have to stay at $44M or above)

Can they eat part of another contract? They already ate part of vaneks and pommers, i thought two was the limit.
