crying to the refs?!

when someone is so obviously trolling the board for attention, it doesn't hurt to point out that refs exist so your bush league gimmick doesn't have to.

you and golfing since must smush tips with the best of em, actually representing avatars devoting more attention to the leafs than the teams they allegedly cheer for.

go to sleep Susie. you've got a long day of obsessing over the leafs ahead of you tomorrow.

LOL, here we go again. So does nobody have a response for my original post about Kadri? Why do you guys always have to resort to personal insults?
As I was saying, the elbow on Backstrom was the dirtier of the 2 hits. I think he SHOULD get 7-10 games but I think he WILL get 3-5.

I think he should get 2 max. Which It will be. Not a repeat offender and other players have done the same thing, which they got nothing or 2 games.

If I get banned then you would too. Yeti is a pretty good ref and he was in here yucking it up with us. I was giving my opinion and you swore at me and insulted me. Which of those is against the code of conduct? Something for you to think about...

7. No trolling and no feeding the trolls
All posters are welcome in all threads, regardless of team loyalty, to discuss hockey. But do not post merely to inflame or disrupt.

should probably do a little research on what exactly is in the code of conduct ya mental midget.

I don't even think I care about the Leafs as much as that troll and they are my favourite team. I wish I was as cool as him (or her).

With the way suspensions are handed out these days he should probably get a few games honestly.

7-10? come on, NOT going to even come close to that and definitely not worth that much either.

Sure, it was the dirtier hit considering the 2nd one was completely clean. After seeing it multiple times, Granlund had his head down where not much of the body was even available. It wasn't a blindside hit. Kadri DIDN'T leave his feet. His elbow was still tucked in. It was a textbook hit essentially.

But 7-10 for running the goalie? No way, there have been guys who have done just as much and gotten nothing. Now they're cracking down on it these day more then they have in the past, so I won't be surprised if he get something, but even 3-5 is more than I think he'll get. MAYBE 1 or 2.

What I'll be surprised at is if he's suspended for the 2nd hit, which I doubt though.

Whoa, I really hope you are kidding. It's the checker's responsibility to not target the head of a player, which he clearly did, whether it was intentional or not.
Also, the part you clearly ignored, was the tidbit about how his head never changed position, it wasn't like he bent down (an action which would lower someone's head 6 inches...as opposed to looking down) at the last second.

- Blackstrom2

If that's the case then every player could just skate with their head down and nobody would ever be allowed to check them. Seems a little ridiculous. It's clearly the players responsibility to have their head up

It's so funny...it's like clockwork...

When a player gets hit to the head, the offending teams fans defend it, and the fans of the player who got hit cry foul.

Never fails.

Just once, ONCE, I'd like to see some fans actually take their teams coloured glasses off and be objective...(including my own teams fans)....but where is the fun in that, I guess?

Maple Leafs were super Bush League tonight and if Kadri is not suspended it will be an outrage. Best part Kadri avoided dropping the gloves after blowing up Backstrom purposely then he runs Granlund? Even if you can somehow justify why his hit on Granlund was necessary which it definitely was not, just because he had his elbow in does change the fact he launched at Granlund and it was clearly a charge as well as boarding. Kadri lost his mind tonight but then gets to hide behind the he is a skilled player excuse?

I am honestly glad the Wild did not retaliate tonight because it would have distracted from how class-less the Toronto Maple Leafs played tonight. As Pominville said tonight post game if playing tough gets you put in the penalty box with the game on the line well that is not tough at all.

Better get there stuff figured out because tonight was atrocious and the Leafs should be embarrassed.

- Tony Dean

He didn't launch at him. His feet were on the ground when contact was made. In terms of charging, Granlund had the puck, so he was just checking the puck carrier. And boarding...you do know what boarding is right? That was definitely not boarding.

And he didn't hide from a fight after running Backstom. Nobody came to challenge him at all. Even the announcers said that there was no reaction from the Wild on it.

Hit on Granlund was nothing... hit on Backstrom he will probably get 1 game maybe 2 if Backstrom has a concussion or something that will keep him out for a while

5 mins for KAdri on Granlund last night was a joke. Terrible call.

I'll be the first to say it if that happened.... unfortunately for Grandlund he had his head down and KAdri hit him square in the chest. There was nothing wrong with the hit it wasn't even a 2 min penalty and definiately wasn't a 5min major and no way is that suspendable.

May not want to complain about stuff if you don't know what you're talking about.

Exactly. People keep saying he "launched" or "charged". All he did was go to check the guy with the puck. Granlund was standing up with his head bent over. Kadri didn't leave his feet, if anything he almost ducked a bit to hit the chest, but couldn't with the head being down. The elbow was tucked in. If Granlund had his head up he would have been hit square in the chest. Somehow people are saying it was a "high hit" but it was actually a squared up perfect, textbook check, but the player had his head down while he had the puck

Yup. Greg Brady is hilarious.... post "text book head hit" and then posts video showing clean check to the chest. What a moron.

Perhaps "text book head hit" they are thinking that the Wilds logo head??

I'm trying to figure out what him having his head down has to do with anything. Was he going to do some super Mike Tyson head dodges to avoid it? He was going to get hit up high whether his head was up or down.
Why or How does Kadri miss a check on a stationary player with his head down?

- Blackstrom2

What?? He didn't miss anything.... He hit him square in the chest. WTF are you on.
