Did I argue that they did?
Like I said, Penguins are perennial favourites. Only one team can win the Cup each year. I'm lucky that I've got to see the Penguins win 3. They continue to be Cup favourites each year so it's not unrealistic that I'll see them win another one.
Now, how about them Leafs and Oilers?! - woopstash
Cup favs with no substantial upgrades... You guys had iggy and still lost... Shame |

Living in days gone by and reciting history like it matters, the Oilers were a dynasty and have more cups than the Pens... and the Leafs scraped together the odd cup or two... 67, 09... it matters not... this is 2014 season... |

Hey, I know. I'm disappointed. Pens, Bruins, Hawks, Kings are probably the 4 teams right now that people pick as Cup favourites. I know I'm lucky to be a Pens fan where the expectation is to win the Cup each year. - woopstash
You're cup favourite was the Minnesota wild! Until that scumbag Kadri killed their backup goalie!! |

Shannabanned for the Multi-kill. Only question is how long. The elbow to the head of the goalie, in the blue paint, with gorgeous, extended, follow through was "thug-nuts". League should require professional examination of Kadri's head to see where the circuit failure is. |

That's (frank)ing ludicrous... this is why I teach my kid the right way... I don't want her being a hippy neckbeard relying on good feelings and kumbaya's to get her through life... |

Maybe test Sauer first? His circuits are in scrambles still. |

Good I wish people would teach kids to accept the ups and downs and life. |

LOL, riiiiiiight. We all know the Leafs fans never "recite history like it matters." Keep celebrating 1967! LOL.
Good point, this IS 2014. Thanks for reminding us all. Penguins are again one of the Cup favourites so I'm hoping for a good season. Crosby is at his familiar spot on top of league scoring again. Now if Malkin could just get going... - woopstash
Don't be verklempt because you started rattling off your team's history like it meant something and not a single fuk was given here... |

Brings up another team, yet I'm talking about my team and your team. Pretty sure pens lose to low end teams too the odd time here and there |

LOL, seen my team win 3 Cups. That's 3 more Cups than you've seen the Leafs win. Doesn't matter to mean if you care or not. Those Cup parties were probably similar to the one Leaf fans had last year when the Leafs finally made the playoffs LOL. - woopstash
Woah that is amazing. Congratulations man I am so happy for you |

Really? You're resorting to this? Why don't you just wave a white flag and say "I've got nothing"?
Incidentally, when did you first catch your mild case of the butthurt in regards to the Leafs? Is this a 'since birth' thing or have you developed this undying loyalty recently? |

Congrats on winning some Cups in a league of 6 teams! LOL. It's harder than that to win a Grey Cup, LOL. - woopstash

Remember when your team almost moved to Hamilton? Bettman and 3 top 2 draft picks saved them - Babalu88
Good Christ, there were an awful lot of lean years in Pittsburgh leading up to that gift from the league... |

2nd round, 1st round, 1st round, 3rd round. Pens are perennial contenders. Nice to be a fan of a team where the expectation is a Cup instead of making the playoffs. - woopstash
And what happens if they aren't?
Lindros was supposed to be that guy for the Nordiques and the the Flyers. Eventually he got worn down so much he barely was more than a depth player.
15 years of Perennial contenders? I don't think so. As soon as one of Malkin or Crosby goes down... what's left?
The Penguins were worse than the Leafs for a decade before Crosby. But you don't remember that do you. |

I assume you mean the 5 years in a row the Penguins missed the playoffs? The sad thing is, The Leafs had even MORE lean years than the Penguins, LOL. How many years in a row was it for the Leafs? - woopstash
I noticed you didn't respond to mine. Haha You're fighting a losing battle here and everywhere. There are a lot more Leafs fans in the world. |

dirtstache, you were a C hair away from losing your team... thankfully Bettman put the fix in and gifted you Crosby, Malkin and well, Fleury... don't pretend reality is anything other than that...
And really, are you measuring lean years now? Is that what you've lowered yourself to?
OK... since you're into a measuring contest... the Leafs have more money than the Pens will have in 25 years and float the poor, red headed step children teams of the league... yes, your team was one of them...
I'd appreciate it if you just thanked us all and went on your way... |

LOL, congrats. You must be proud that more people cheer for a bad hockey team? I'm not sure what your point is? That there are a lot of Leaf fans? Was anyone disputing this? - woopstash
You're right they are pretty bad. I mean they lost to the Pens this year... oh wait. |
