I watched a few of those old epics about the ancient world growing up (Spartacus, Ben Hur, etc.) and I always found the weird hodge podge of accents funny.

Whenever it was a high society type, like a Roman senator or something, they tended to have the British accent. More stately, I guess?

refs (frank)ed it up from the get go, and the NHL is looking at the first hit, because it was the hit that was illegal.

My best guess is that being from NA we expect our "lack" as it were of an accent to be an anomaly to the first speakers of English, so go to antiquity and you go with the older...ahhh (frank) it, it's all bullpoop, we just all love those accents and think they make a better movie regardless.

read what i right.... the players ( backstrom and grandlund) didn;t go to the quiet room... after they got hit in the head..... there are suppose to go to the quiet room after a head hit... even if they say they are ok...

Didn't the cheap head shots by Gionta and Lucic on Reimer and Miller already set a precedent in the NHL that primary contact to a goaltenders head is considered a legal hit?

I like it better when they're Russian, in Russia, talking to other Russians, but instead of speaking Russian with English subtitles, they speak English with Russian accents.
