The hit on Granlund was a good clean hockey play. The 5 minute misconduct on it was a makeup call for the elbow on Backstrom.

I predict Shanahan will give Kadri 2 games for Backstrom, nothing for Granlund.

They're not even looking at the Granlund hit... because it was clean... which is why the Leafs are moving to have the game misconduct wiped from Kadri's impeccable record... realistically, Shannaban should give him a stern talking to and a small fine since he's already been punished enough as far as I'm concerned...

Well it wasnt a good clean hit...still made head contact..so it was a penalty.
I believe 2 games as well.....that simply was a cheap shot on Backstrom.

Ya, centre depth is something no team can ever doubt the importance of. Even when Grabo was "sick" and struggling the four man unit of Kadri-Bozak-Grabo-McClement was strong, then Kadri-Bozak-Bolland-McC was strong...but they lack that guy that is strateling the levels of readiness that a lot of other teams have that can come in and play...McKegg isn't there yet and all the other teams centre prospects are in junior and at least 2-3 years away.
