1 pm #NHL phone hearing for #Leafs Kadri for hit on #Wild Backstrom. No hearing for his match pen on Grandlund.

Glad Kipper can spell...

Again, Kadri has no hearing re: Granlund; it's only Backstrom... but apparently Kadri hates the Fins?
- gravyface

Everybody hates the Finns. (frank)ing Finnish bastards.

I will chime in on this later but FFS when has it become perfectly legal for Leaf players to be boarded? How many times does it have to go uncalled?

Kadri may get something for the Backstrom hit but if he gets anything for the other hit , then the league has a big problem with tunnel vision, how many times have we seen the Bruins get nothing, absolutely nothing, not even a penalty for worse contact to the head hits?

and last night was a joke in these threads, it needs to be cleaned up, sick of it going on like that.

I just feel it's escalating these days.
That and the stupid fights after a clean hit.

Why isn't the guy that goes after a player that just gave a clean hit doesn't get an instigator call against him?

- Pecafan Fan

Do they still give those?

He's going to get two+ for Backstrom sadly. Shouldn't have been a match penalty in the game on Granlund, at worst you call it boarding or charging.

Bruins get a free pass in their barn; those are the rules, Bettman said so.

Kadri's not helping himself at all in this league with questionable hits and non-stop whining after every call against him. Hopefully he grows up, but not loving Kadri's play this year.

Just went through a few pages and saw a bunch of fans from other teams come in and voice their opinion like they're relevant, Kadri plays with an edge but by no means is a dirty player. His hit on Granlund was clean and if that's suspendable or a match penalty than players in this league should start wearing tootoo's.

His hit on Backstrom is a suspension but Kadri isn't a dirty player. I find it funny that a Sabres fan who has Scott and Kaleta and a Pens fan who had Cooke are the first ones to speak up.

well.. lets be impartial here.

the leafs need to expect the refs to be lax in calling penalties against their opposition. truth is.. the leafs are one of the roughest hardest hitting teams in the league.. they always amp up games physically and frankly i am sure that gets on the refs nerves.

gonna play rough? well dont expect the refs to be your friend. thats how it has always worked.

I don't think so. Tootoo same play (and he's a repeat offender no?) and he got 2 games. Kadri will get 2 or less.

Playing tough (within the rules) doesn't/shouldn't change anything. Leafs constantly get hit from behind with no call.

meh 2 games would be fine....can beat buffalo without him....heck Leafs could beat buffalo without sticks or skates.....although at least 1 of those games is going to be a poop show - and he would be outstanding in that capacity
