Agreed he did eventually contact the head.

You could say the same about a lot of recent suspensioned hits... like John Scott.
Kadri looks like he'll get at the very least a game (first time offender). What I think hurts his case most was the fact he had two questionable hits in one game.

The problem is the players no longer hit each other in other to separate the other guy from the puck, they hit each other to knock the other guy out.

I disagree I think they ve had the same mentality all along but they are bigger, stronger faster now.

Dec 1. Have to wait till the month hits. If you do it to early the house becomes to cluttered and the chances of things breaking increases.

The primary point wasn't the head but the fact Kadri drove upwards into Grandlund may factor into Shanahan'd decision. I think that hit and the hit on Backstrom gets Kadri 2 or 3 games.

I didn't catch the hit live, but I was told at work that Granlund took a headshot from Kadri. I watched the youtube clip when I got home last night and I'm still waiting to see this vicious hit people think they saw. This is hockey, the rats already want fighting out of the game don't let them take hitting too.

I don't really feel one way or another towards either team. At first glance, I didn't think the Kadri hit was all that bad.

After watching it a few times, he definitely goes out of his way to deliver a forearm/elbow to Backstrom's head. That is a textbook example of what the NHL is trying to get away from, so I think it warrants a suspension. I think 2-3 games is warranted here. Just my take.
