I'm watching it. He is bent over, I acknowledged that. But again, you are saying because he is bent over, Kadri is allowed to hit in the head. I just don't see the logic in that. Yeah, keep your head up, hockey cliche, we all know it. But that means blast the guy cleanly, don't hit him high. If he's bent over, there are many ways to hit him without hitting him in the head. You acknowledge he was already in that vulnerable position and did not make any sudden movements...so again, how does that make Kadri not responsible here?

I don't think the NHL is going to buy the argument that he hit his head because granlund put it there.

- Blackstrom2

You don't think they will??? Are you new to hockey??? they secifically say that very thing all the time.

clueless.

Maple Leafs were super Bush League tonight and if Kadri is not suspended it will be an outrage. Best part Kadri avoided dropping the gloves after blowing up Backstrom purposely then he runs Granlund? Even if you can somehow justify why his hit on Granlund was necessary which it definitely was not, just because he had his elbow in does change the fact he launched at Granlund and it was clearly a charge as well as boarding. Kadri lost his mind tonight but then gets to hide behind the he is a skilled player excuse?

I am honestly glad the Wild did not retaliate tonight because it would have distracted from how class-less the Toronto Maple Leafs played tonight. As Pominville said tonight post game if playing tough gets you put in the penalty box with the game on the line well that is not tough at all.

Better get there stuff figured out because tonight was atrocious and the Leafs should be embarrassed.

Come on Phaneuf got hit by Brodziak and it was a good check. Kadri took huge strides and launched on two different Wild players PURPOSEFULLY this evening. Its indefensible. Bets part all that tough guy rodeo resulted in a LOSS. Thats toxic the style of play the Leafs displayed tonight. Good Luck
- Tony Dean

your homer glasses on are on too tight..... Phanuef clearly hit square in the numbers (by 2 guys) ...... and Kadri on Grandlund clean as a whistle. There was no charge, on launching, no elbow.... it was shoulder to chest.

This is why I love Kadri.... he has all the whiner fans from other teams up in arms and calling for a "lengthy" suspension...

I'm guessing by "miss" he means missed hitting him cleanly. He didn't miss anything.

Hitting a goalie and then a high hit on Grandlund, I'll be surprised if Kadri doesn't get 2 or 3 games.

I dont like guys targeting skill players and goalies then hiding from dropping the gloves or justifying it by being a skill player like Kadri. No different from Taylor Hall or Dustin Brown cheapshot/liberty taking. Ugly

Toronto is not better than Minnesota and has been outplayed in both matchups this year.

- Tony Dean

Toronto has a win and a SO loss - 3 points
Minny has a regulation loss and shootout win - 2 points

Leafs 3rd in the conference, wild 6th..good luck getting past Stl/Chicago in the 1st rd (unlikely)

Some players try to hard to justify the big payday. Komisarek tried to do more than he was able and went from being a dependable shutdown defenseman to trying to be Bobby Orr, Mike Tyson and King Kong all at once, and we know what happened there. Clarkson seems to be following the same route, getting away from his 'more simple' game and trying to be Wendel Clark, Mats Sundin and Darryl Sittler all at once.

We had to give them a chance. So let's try Gardnier at center, good two way player highly skilled, he's a perfect fit.

Intangibly mediocre.

Well, at least they didn't sign Ryane Clowe to that deal he got for 3 goals.

LOL, it doesn't take much to upset you, does it? Or to make you contradict yourself. For someone who points fingers at other for "living in the past" you sure like to do it. Yup, Penguins went bankrupt. Leafs have lots of money. Too bad it's not enough money to buy a Stanley Cup (or playoff berth for that matter, LOL).
I always get a kick out of Habs and Leaf fans bragging about how large their fan bases are and how much money they have. They think it makes them great when in reality it makes it even more pathetic that they can't win LOL.

- woopstash

leafs made the playoffs last season...cant remember that far back? Be thankful the pens are in the softest division in hockey (only 2 teams above .500) because in the west they would be in 10th. Continue to brag about the 1 cup you guys have in 20n years, despite being a cup contender every year, not too long before that bubble bursts
