dunno. wouldn't put money on Bergevin doing much of anything. aside from the Cole/Ryder/Briere trifecta, everything he's done has involved depth guys. - DoubleDown
Realistically who could they move to make a big splash? Plek? Is it worth it to trade him? Markov? Old but still great. Eller? Paccioretty? Both young and part of the next "core." |

holmgren being replaced with mcguire would be the ultimate irony as he almost cost holmgren his job with the whalers |

I love how 20 year later Pierre still dips in daily into these 60 games for his "when I was a head coach" advice. |

Once when he was an assistant coach, McGuire bragged about his strategy to shut down Mario Lemieux. This was after a 7-3 loss and four goals by Kevin Stevens.

Well this means it's time to make a huge panic move!!! - WaterBoy
well said Marty, well said. because every single move that has ever been made by any GM in NHL history has been DRIVEN BY COMPLETE PANIC AND HYSTERIA.
believe it or not, there are GMs out there capable of improving their team via trade. |

I think this too...
I don't mind Eller...I just don't think he'll live up to his full potential (or at least produce points to that level)... I think we got Galchenyuk and Plekanec as our 1 & 2 centers...and in a few years we can just upgrade on Plek and move him to the 3rd line...

that's our reply and our thought process because we're know-nothing fans. but i would hope that the GM isn't sitting there saying "well there's nothing i can do... i don't see any avenues to explore to improve this club." |

Speaking of money...
Our blue line should be one of the most expensive next year. ( of course after the Flyer's) |
