Not questioning whether St-Pierre had a good game or not. I thought he was solid as well. Just not the place for him in his first game. - hscesq
well...he's a 5'9'' goal scorer. I think he was more at place there than alongside White and Parros on a checking line. |

Not going to argue that either. Just saying that unless someone was dog tired from a prior shift, he shouldn't have been there. |

this is some NHL day-to-day stuff that gets blown out of proportion in Montreal (like everything regarding that (frank)ing team) |

Eric Engels: Subban's use dominates post-game conversation after Habs 3rd straight lossOn Tuesday, I could've asked Therrien why he chose to go with Galchenyuk, Gallagher and Pacioretty in the shootout, or why he selected Tomas Plekanec out of the five players eligible to take that penalty shot in the third period. Instead, I framed it by asking him what his process is for selection, and whether or not it's based on gut feeling or statistics. There's a subtle difference, but a difference nonetheless. - EricEngels

BTW, for a goal scorer, he hasn't really scored all that much overall.
I see he's from Ottawa. |

Fair enough, you are probably right about the bolded.
Also, I know the Habs are short staff, but I saw White on the PK a lot yesterday...I don't see him as someone who is reliable defensively.
...or reliable period. |

His history agrees with your assessment. But I think he's been better so far this season. I am the first to rip him when he does something stupid, so I will pat him on the back for improving. |

Near Russel...East of Ottawa... |

I just think that Therrien's feeling a little too emboldened by the overinflated celebrity that comes with being coach of the Montreal Canadiens. Early on, his "team first" meritocracy came across like a breath of fresh air. But increasingly, his coaching decisions suggest that his sense of "merit" is utterly without context, while his off-ice comportment suggests that "team" is more of a euphemism for himself than anything else. |

Yeah, he's not bad...but his line as a whole are just horrible lately. I don't think they had one hit last night between him and Parros. They just get stuck in their zone.
Can't wait until Prust comes back...and dare I say Moen? (sigh) |
