That is highway robbery, how about a 1975 $5.00 gift card to Two Guys? - IonSabres
YES! I got lost there at least 3 times as a kid. Used to love having to drive around the seemingly endless loop of a driveway across the street just to get into the parking lot...was about the 1st time Sabres lost in the Cup finals |

Are there new developments in the case? - SotaPopinski
They are still deciding whether or not to charge him or not as they don't have much in the way of evidence and nothing has yet to come out that seems solid enough to convict him.
That plus the fact that he is in the lineup means that Roy and Sakic believe he is innocent as well as they would have been told everything that there is to know.
Also it would probably be a few weeks if not months for a trial to take place anyways.
While it is a big deal atm it is looking as if Varly is fine. |

Considering if she goes back to Russia she will be murdered then probably. She just accused Russia's possible starting goaltender for Russia's Olympic team IN SOCCI over something that they don't take seriously anyways. I just hope that girl is in serious hiding. |

Agree, which is ANOTHER reason this rumor makes no sense. Besides, Edmonton is a weird place. Where else can you suck this bad for four years and still sell the building out. If people are going to show up anyway, why waste assets on a goalie who'll be gone by the end of the year? - duxcup07
And why dump one UFA for another in Miller. He's making $6.25mil this season and he's 33 with a career GAA 2.60 and a sav % .915. Hiller is making $4.5 and is 31 with a career GAA 2.51 sav %.917. Makes no sense. |

Miller wants to be in California. That's been made pretty clear by him. His wife lives there and he lives there in the offseason.
Anaheim competes with Quick and Niemi and there is a lot of belief that they also want an "elite" goaltender in their market. That's why I speculate he'll be there regardless. Hiller, Fasth, Gibson are not a "draw". I think they will trade them to make room. - Iggysbff
A winning record is a better draw than a 1-10 Miller. Besides, we have Perry, Getzlaf, Selanne and Koivu with a Neidermayer chaser. |

Miller as been outstanding most nights...
1-10 is not his fault
We've scored 3 or more goals in only 4 of 16 games!
And in 8 of those games, we've scored 1 or less goals!
Miller is far from the problem and would make just about any team out there better, incl Anaheim
He'd def agree to an extension w u guys too
something like Gibson, a 1st, and maybe another pick or prospect prob gets it done... And makes the Ducks a true contender |

Miller is an amazing goalie, and I do think he is currently better than any goalie Ana currently has. However you are BatSh!t if you think you'd get much for him at this point. You are nuts with that last part especially. |

Ya, ya, ya....
Please, keep telling me the Sabres won't get a good return for Miller
Hey, my opinion isn't necessarily better than yours...
But no one thought we'd get a 1st for gaustad, or a HUGE return for Pominville, or for Vanek as a "rental"
I guess we'll see, but recent history is on my side |

Goalies are different. Also there is low demand. 30 teams in NHL, prob 22 have a solid goalie. Then you take how many team have the cap space. Then you take how many could just wait and sign him as a UFA.
I will give your GM all the credit in the world for the trades he has managed to pull off to date. However with Miller if you don't trade him by the end of the year he will most likely just walk for nothing and you don't exactly have a lot of options. A team plays 12 forwards can make something work, only need 1 goalie. |

Paul Gaustad - IndianaSabresFan
Poile knew exactly what he was doing. Goose is a great penalty killer and the best face off man in hockey. The price, no doubt, was a bit steep but Poile didn't blunder into that trade. It was very much by design. I will agree if he got a big name goaltender before a big name scorer... or three, someone would burn his house down. |

I think part of that was the language translation thing. He did speak english pretty good. But I would have to assume if English is his #1 language half of the "dumb things he said' are not said. - ImThatGuy
I think you give him too much credit. Bryz is one of those people we've all met at some point in life. He has a horrible personality but doesn't realize it. He's very outgoing so he just keeps talking in spite of having no personality so he seems crazy and very unlikeable. And please to everyone... Stop mentioning Bryz to Nashville. NO NO NO NO!!! |

Big difference between a "solid" goalie and Miller
Teams that are "going for it" and feel like Miller can be THE guy to put them over the top will pay
Anaheim, StLouis, NY isles...
All are the type of team I'm talking about
Miller turns them from a playoff team into a legit contender
Ppl act like the return is going to be of great value
But really, prospects & picks that MIGHT pan out really don't hold much value to a team trying to win the cup NOW
That's why we'll get such a good return
Because the Sabres are rebuilding,
Those picks/prospects are of greater value to us
But a 1st that a team thinks will be in the bottom 3rd of the round? Teams trade those every year
A goalie prospect like Gibson?
While Anaheim hopes he'll one day become a franchise goalie, Miller already IS a franchise goalie
Same with a prospect at any position
We clearly aren't going to agree here
Just like very few agreed with me when I said we'd get great returns for Pommer & Vanek
We'll just wait & see
And when I'm right, I'll try not to gloat too much

Hated to see him leave, but love that we basically got Girgensons for him |

Miller is amazing. He is also older, expensive and a UFA. Also these last few years have shown you can win a cup with a goalie like neimi or crawford and a bobrovsky can win calder.
Look at any goalie deal over the past few years, hardly any return.
Just a different ballgame.
And when I'm right, I'll try not to gloat too much. |

If they move Hiller this season, it would set the stage for a Miller to Anaheim trade imo. I think Miller for Gibson is a win-win for both sides. Don't forget the Ducks have Fasth and Andersen in their system so they could afford the luxury of moving Gibson. Miller has been very good this year and I think he would do very well in Anaheim. |

If I was ANA I personally wouldn't give up Gibson for Miller straight up let alone the added first and second round picks you're GM would also want. I am not saying it isn't fair but sometimes you say no to fair deals because you like to much what you see in a player to give up on him. Now maybe I move one of said other goalie prospects plus a little bit more for Miller but I just find it very very hard to believe there is a good goalie market out there. I also thought the reason the Ducks moved Ryan was to avoid future cap problems ? with Getz and Perry both making very large amounts of money. So why move Ryan then add a 33 year old goalie who will more then likely want the same amount as he is making now and a long contract to retire there. If I was ANA I would just stay away from Miller I see to many problems unless they some how Rape Buffalo on the trade then they should just stay away and wait till he is a UFA if ANA is really a place Miller wants to go then why waste valuable assets to get him there when he likely could be had for free at years end. Just my thoughts on that situation |
