Listening to 690 Montreal. There is a controversy smoldering around PK Subban. Therrien and the front office are really unhappy with some of his play in the Colorado game.
I think Subban is a player that would fit perfectly in Ottawa. But the Flyers would likely put together a monster package.
Reading between the lines, part of the Subban problem is he does not play a team game. If I am Ottawa I would include Spezza in trying to put together a package for Subban. Only Karlsson would be off limits. - spatso
He did have a rough game, but that is just MTL being MTL lmao. Every bad game they talk about trading a player out of town. They would be nuts to get rid of him. |

If RoR and Tyson Barrie are in play then if a bit more gets added maybe it could be something substantial like Nash coming the other way. He's been fairly tame this season and has been out with concussion issues. - AlexF
I doubt the Avs would want Nash. Also RoR atm is irrelevant as he cant be traded yet, however he has played well on Duchene's wing and if the Avs plan on keeping him long term then PA doesn't fit the best on that line. All speculation at best however. |

Which is why Hiller is going to be traded and the cost wont be anywhere near what you think.
Miller is going to be a Duck wither later this year or in the offseason. - Iggysbff
Only if he wants a one year deal. Gibson has been tearing it up in Norfolk. .950 save pct. He's going to be ready sooner rather than later. |

If I am the AVs GM I rather have RoR who is younger hitting his prime, than an older long contract of a concussed prone player. A Stepan Girardi for ROR may happen. - mighty13duck
Stepan has some serious offensive upside. I doubt they'd trade him for RoR straight up, let alone throwing in Girardi. I could see something like Hagelin + Girardi. |

Thus far it only seems to be Ek and an EDM fan. If that constitutes the whole world we're all (frank)ed. |

Miller wants to be in California. That's been made pretty clear by him. His wife lives there and he lives there in the offseason.
Anaheim competes with Quick and Niemi and there is a lot of belief that they also want an "elite" goaltender in their market. That's why I speculate he'll be there regardless. Hiller, Fasth, Gibson are not a "draw". I think they will trade them to make room. |

If O'Reilly is on the block at the deadline, I would love to see a MDZ + Hagelin/Kreider type of deadline....whatever picks or what not that needs to be added to this mix to make it work |

Gibson could easily end up being better then Miller why would they trade him he has to be the hands down best goaltender prospect in the world. |

To be honest, I think it's far more a case of Miller wanting the Ducks. |

I have never really understood how that would work out or make them a much better team. |

Hagelin +Girardi would be one of the few packages I think I'd be ok trading RoR for. Granted atm I still see him staying with the Avs but I guess you never know. |

Some Sabers fans are delusion as to Ryan Miller's playoff record. they seem to think Miller will perform much better than Jonas Hiller when it comes to the playoffs. Here are their playoff stats:
Miller - 25W-22L 2.46 GAA .917%
Hiller - 10W-10L 2.31 GAA .935%
Other than getting Ryan Miller closer to Hollywood so he can bang his actress/girlfriend more often, I see no reason to dump Hiller for Miller unless serious assets are coming to the Ducks. |

Yeah. I still don't get why we would trade Hiller anyway. |

Id imagine we would see a Stastny extension prior to any move with O'Reilly. If he resigns it gives us more looks and options by the deadline, but he probably will resign as well. Have the cap room to qualify him for the 1 year deal. |

Gibson is one of the best tending prospects in the world. Hiller and Fasth are middle-tier tenders so on that we will agree, but when he gets his shot Gibson will be one of those "draw" type of tenders |

Habs would not trade Subban to Ottawa no matter what the package is...
Same reason why Canucks took less from NJ and traded Schneider there rather than to the Oilers. |
