Pure speculation, but from the speed of the trade given the Varlmov situation, one can not help but wonder if karma was served some how. Or if Volpatti had his dinner comped courtesy....

That whole situation was strange. Have a hard time believing you trade a top 6 guy from a 10 and 1 team with statistically teh best PK in the league.

Karma can be a real rough thing...

Yes; sadly...

Something tells me his hatred of Crow is so misguided he'd rather see Khabby getting the majority of the starts...

Meh, I just ignore him. I am too damn old to deal with every idiot who crosses my path. He knows absolutely nothing about hockey. Trying to teach him is akin to teaching a dog to make dinner. Ot better yet: "he is like a flea on an elephant's ass, he just don't matter".

Well to be honest what Emery did was not a surprise...

The main issue is the NHL ignored it and didn't suspend him while there was a precedent.

Emery comes from the school of hard knocks Al and made it to the NHL without a siliver spoon in his mouth. And anybody from my hometown who smashes Max Lapierre in the face with his goalie stick is a good guy by me.

The other issue for me is why did the ref just stand there and allow that to go on.
- jhawk159

Yeah that was bad. Holtby did not want to go at all. They usually break these kind of things up right away.

Hey Phil. Watching those Bure highlights, one thing I noticed was how powerful of a skater he was, not just fast. I always remembered Pavel scoring breakaway goals being miles behind the dman, as if he was cheating to get behind them. Now seeing it again, he was just so explosive that when he's even with that dman, he pulls ahead so quickly and he was usually fighting through a stick or two.
They always do a nice job with those video tributes at cbc

What up fellas? Been a while.

Didn't catch the game yesterday but here's hoping that it wasn't the first of many laughers for you guys.

Jets are in tough right now and will be for as long as Ladd, Little and Wheeler are considered the top line. I'm not sure but it seems like the pressure is getting to our top guys like Ladd and Wheeler. Making way more boneheaded plays this year than last. The stop gaps that Chevy has used have been a disappointment to say the least but he won't blow up his prospect pool to make the playoffs just because the fans feel entitled so I understand the moves he has and hasn't made.

I can't think of any team who'd want Buff bad enough to offer a return of any worth to Chevy. The Jets don't need second line guys or late draft picks and Buff isn't worth a scoring winger/centre/starting goalie. So a Jet he will stay and that's good enough for me.

If anything, feel sorry for Claude Noel. He's getting mauled by fans and media alike but he doesn't have the cards to play with the big boys. I'm sure he's counting down his days but ain't a coach out there who could do much better with what he's got. That said, he really needs to leave Jokenin off the god damn powerplay and let Scheifele try to gain some confidence.

There's DA MAN....what up Beardface...thought you vanished off HB radar ????
Nice to see you surface dude.

Love your take on your home team. Appreciate it for sure

Friedman on HNIC compared Noel to ex-Leafs coach Paul Maurice in terms of how hard both took each loss. Like Claude and wish him and the Jets well..."so long as their interests don't conflict with ours." Channeling my inner Vito Corleone there.

GREAT TO SEE YOU ON HERE BRO...one of my fave OUTTA TOWNERS

I wasn't thinking of any, but since you asked: 5-2 Calgary but really 5-1 hawks

My guess is they save Khabby to start in Dallas next weekend.

If Q. starts him at home and he lays an egg then the next starts probably can't be there.

As long as the Hawks employ clowns like those Kane and Toes fellers, they'll never be able to win against the mighty Calgary Flames...

Some interesting reasons he asked to be traded.

In my opinion, the only superstar the canucks have ever had and they treated him like a second class citizen. One of the many reasons I hate that orginization

Off the mark? What is Foley talking about? Keith hit him square in the shin pads; just like he's supposed to.
