The only good game for Khabby to start is a game of punchbuggy on the bus to Rockford.

That dude is ten times more intelligent and knowledgeable about hockey than you can ever hope to be. Why don't you get back to being on your knees in front of Brandon Pirri some more.

Wow, man you are scaring me....

If you want to interject any logic over there, do me a favor and cite any call I have made, position I have taken over the past year which does not end up being true.

That is my civil challenge to you. If you feel the need to play big brother to someone editorializing and not being met with pizza and ice cream don't read here.

Maybe I should have responded WTF...or maybe I should not have responded.

I will be rooting for the 2C Pirri tonight. He plays for the blackhawks. On second line. Not sure you were aware of that.

Now go get your chores done so you can watch the game tonight.

Crawford can't start 70+ games and Ranta isn't coming up any time soon. They have to figure out how to get him to at least a servicable level. On this team, Khabibulin will give them a chance most nights if he can just get to a GAA of 3. He doesn't need to play as well as Emery did last year.

How much is attributable to the Flyers' coach and GM - why would Emery go after Holtby unless he was encouraged to?

Not that "following orders" has been that good a defense since 1945.

- StLBravesFan

Fellas this is the NHL not melrose place, there are no ringing phones or orders to follow.

Emery did what HE thought HE could do to try to energize his team. It is that simple. He acted alone, he decided to do it.

For better or worse, and it was worse, that was the course of action he decided to take. IF you look at the net of the deal, they lost Downey and Lacavalier to concussions for their lack of fighting acumen at the same time. Some irony to that all.

BTW, I have no beef with Snap it Upstairs, I enjoy his input. On the other hand was perplexed by the Sharp Selanne thing.

Love his use of bullet points in his posts. I have thought of doing it, but do not want to be called a poser. I am sure he could care less about my response.

I enjoy his posts as well....and I did question the Selanne comparison. I've never watched Sharped and thought Teammu.....

Stars' Nichushkin with a drive to the net and bad knee to Senators' Anderson's head

Anderson taken off on a stretcher - didn't look to be moving, but hard to tell.

Seem to be an unusual number of bad injuries early in the season.

Update - Anderson is apparently walking around in the locker room - so, not as bad as first appeared.

See man, I don't respond with any words, just an array of emoticons suggesting my confusion and lack of understanding..and I am met with such venom....

That's OK, I am still trying to overcome all of my emotional issues. One day I may feel again...one day....

BTW, if SIUS said, hey, this Hertl kid has some scoring flare not unlike a Selanne...then maybe yes, but Sharp is not a rookie, he plays a more physical two way game, and while fast and explosive, would never be confused with Selannes skating in his hey day.

Fans really have to step back and realize that during 82 games, you will have good streaks and bad. As a player, all you can hope for is consistent effort and chances, which Sharp gets, and the results will be there in the end.

Anyways, ...looking forward to the action tonight.

Why don't you find a polite way to get your point across? Remarks like that show either immaturity, a lack of basic consideration, or just being a arse . You just look like a looser in everyone else eyes because you refused to write correct fashion. While true grit has been writing much about Pirri, so what...move on...do not even comment if you cannot express your thoughts properly. Al even reached out a few JJ column back to say how much your and other threads with name calling is ruining this hockeybuzz site for many people. Another thread followed up on that by saying how five people sent a pm stating the very same thing. You know some people think they are so tough on the Internet and have no regard for common manners like you would talk that way to family, friends, work...you would get handed a two minute penalty or worse.

It isn't your comment itself that is so offensive; moreover, it is seeing it as a continuation of name calling from other threads in the past. Any jury can see that I am right and you are wrong. Man up. I have been wrong in life before. We all have been wrong at times in life. I am no more above or below you....because I believe you know better.

If I recall Ray has always enjoyed punching people...isn't he a huge boxing fan, and hasn't he boxed a bit himself?

I think he saw an opportunity and took it.

And it appears the NHL isn't interested in any punishment, so line brawls will remain a possibility going forward.

I find 'em ridiculous myself.

While I get what you and Al and others say, lets not turn into the the little miss manners blog where everyone tries to be more magnanimous than each other. We are grown men, and often may not act like it, like a drunk at a bar rambling on and on with incoherent ramblings, we have to accept the good with the bad.

What is more annoying than some of the dumb juvenile disputes we have, and I know I am at the center of many of them, is this compulsive rush by many to announce they are offended or appalled by what someone states. Often taking a poorly written generalization and projecting political correctness and moral superiority ...thus announcing...hey everyone look at me. I was the first to be offended.

Like the crazy uncle at Thanksgiving, or the whacked out cousin at the family reunion, we all know where they are coming from....shrugg it off and move on. Too much attention is paid to howling at the moon crap. We all know each other and the passion shared, I think more people wast words and posts on showing their indignation then if people simply ignored it.

This is not an MLS soccer board, where we role on the ground holding a knee everytimes some slides on the ground next to us.

My guess is they save Khabby to start in Dallas next weekend.

If Q. starts him at home and he lays an egg then the next starts probably can't be there.

What Emery did was a criminal assault, holding down an unwilling victim while savagely pummeling the back of his head and neck. After what he went through to return to the NHL, I had a lot of respect for Emery. Not anymore.

Yeah it was really bad. The ref did nothing at all. We liked emery here, but over his career he snapped a lot. He should have taken on a skater. He did that before, taking on that goon Peters in buffalo

Opportunity to do what? Skate 180 feet down ice to beat up an opposing goalie who doesn't want to take part?

He could have tangled with Volpati he didn't appear to have a dance partner although that didn't work out so well for Steve Downie earlier in that game.
