This is a game where a healthy Emery might have been plugged in and won the game for us. Instead, because of Khabby's complete incompetence, we're forced to ride Crow and he wasn't very good tonight.
- philco28

The Hawks forward can't score more than 2 goals against a JV team and we hang the game on CC? Really. 2 goals or less, you get a point.

Eh he turned in the same effort as the rest of the team...Just enough to get a point. Still not sure if I want the team to do that and conserve for the playoffs or go hard and get some home ice.

As much as that last goal sucked, this lose is not on CC. 2 goals at home against this Flames club is pathetic.

Congrats to Berra though, he deserved the win as much as the Hawks deserved to lose.

The cynicism is strong with this one. If only we had a history of winning when it really matters to rely on.

Winning the division =/= Winning when it matters

Hawks will sleep-walk their way into the playoffs

That was bad. I'm with you there. First two I could live with.

Playing defensively for the 4 on 4 OT again. Again bites them as puck deflects off defensively- positioned Shaw and past Crow.

A guy who just signed a multi year extension worth a lot of cash has to have that....

Crow's a solid goalie, having a solid year, but his style is too predictable, especially in 1 on 1 situations. He'll be down early and snipers will snipe.

he served up a Corey Crawford hat trick tonight

How bout all those guys with big deals making more money up front? Are they accountable for their lack of production versus a rookie goalie and over all poorly talented team?

Lot of blame to go around...but the Glencross goal
and the Russell goal, deflection or not...shouldn't beat him from 58 feet out.

The Hawks should NEVER be beaten 4 on 4. WTH don't they play to their speed n skill advantage and aggressively move to score???

Some times you just have to give the other team credit. Calgary played their Cup final. They played a very good game. Blaming Crow is ludicrous. Two deflections, one from the doorstep, the other changes direction and takes off like a rocket. Plain and simple, the Hawks didn't pay the price to get to the dirty areas. It happens. Still put a point in the bank. Its still way too early to worry about the standings.

Have them do ladders on the white house lawn. President gives the thumb as to when they get to stop.

Yes - not enough pressure on Berra, no net presence so no deflections that I particularly saw.

I don't fault Crawford for the loss - two deflected goals, the other in his weak spot, ok - only gave his usual two.

Berra was very good, but was well protected (even considering 40+ shots against) by Calgary.

Give the Flames some credit. They played like the hungrier team tonight.

Absolutely. They're doing much better than '10-'11 and as long as they are on track to make the playoffs, I think I'm alright with gliding now and then. Especially if we get a point out of it.

Hawks shot high too many times tonight. You don't want to be one and done shoot low. I'm ever the optimist and defender of the offense, but 2 goals is bad against that team. Kane with embarrassing coverage on the OT goal. And everyone who said Morin is a better scorer than Stalberg ain't looking to hot right now

To be honest, I think Q trusts Morin even less than Stalberg although Morin looks fine every time he's on the ice. If there's one thing I really don't like about Q, its the discrepancies between how he treats players.

They are human. I don't think it was a poor effort as much as just not being able to get anything going. The Flames played a really smart game. Give them their due. They are professionals too.

Like I stated in other posts - Will Bickell be this year's Frolik? High priced bottom 6 player. If the team couldn't afford Frolik, how can they afford Bicks for less gain?
