I must not have seen the Toronto video -- I saw Kessel take numerous whacks at Scott with his stick. Scott never threw a punch at Kessel. Kessel got a 5 game suspension. Scott didn't get any suspension.
Comparing that to Emery's assault and battery of the other goalie is completely off.

We've seen that here in Ontario, back in the 90's, and it cost us 50 billion dollars for 5 years of Bob Rae. It took a real Conservative to balance the books. If you where to prorate the Canadian debt per person, to what American's owe......your almost over the abyss. Canada's debt is 700 Billion. U.S. debt is 17 trillion. At least Canada spent their infrastructure money on real infrastructure, not civil servants.

But for the love of hockey,if a player was fortunate enough to make the NHL then they serve a purpose. Scorers, defenders, goons, and rats all have defined roles and will make money doing it. I don't defend players who do dumb things or say that they shouldn't be in the league. I would trade my life in a minute for the chance to play in the NHL.
