You are way off...Kaleta draws more penalties then he takes ... you make it sound like he is always in the penalty box which he is not... other teams hate him because he strikes fear in them when he is on the ice...far from being labled an uncontrollable goon....very good penalty killer in my book...he'll be on another team very soon...pizzing you off

First off, Garth, this is my first and last blog of yours I'll ever read. Emery bashing his skull in, c'mon man. If the guy didn't want to fight, then turtle. He clearly swung back, therefor its just a fight, was it a bit over the top for my liking? Sure. But when the team is dropping a goose egg and down 7 with no d-help, would you want to stay in the game and continue that drivel? Or do you go spark the team and throw some punches. I don't see how its as bad as people are making it out to be. On top of all that, as they're sorting out the penalties, Holtby is standing by his bench, smiling and chatting with a teammate. What a brutal beatdown, the guy stayed in the game. Then you lost me after you defended Kaleta, pot meet kettle.

Leafs have no need for him.....Oilers should look at him as well...I suspect he ends up clearing waivers...Guy got some shtt to get worked out but who knows maybe he turns it around...

I for one am gonna miss him. One of the few players on the Sabres with heart...He'll be on a new team soon enough....all you haters will wish you had him when you are getting bashed around in the playoffs...I won't be surprised if Boston picks him up

No thanks to Kaleta, he would be a downgrade on the Bruins roster. Brings nothing to the table in terms of skill, just a punk. We already have a pest in Marchand and he is 10X the player Kaleta is and will even be.

You are totally out to lunch in your assessment of him. He is a pest, a cheapshot artist, and dirty. He just annoys other teams, and does it poorly, and his production does not excuse his downfalls. There are at least 25 other players on third/4th lines in the NHL that can kill penalties just as easily as him.

Call it what you will, but he is a more useless Sean Avery, and where is Avery now?

And I'd take Avery 10 time outta 10 over Kaleta.

I get that because he's a Sabre, you feel the need to homer him a tad, but you'd also be the guy that would freak if it was rumored Matt Cooke may be traded to Buff. So just take off the goggles for 5 minutes.

The stance you're taking is no different than if I were to say the Leafs are legit playoff contenders based on the standings at this point....

I get it . Emery is now your guy and you will defend him to the death . Right or wrong . But the truth is he is a boxer disguised as a goalie, just looking for a chance to pound someone without his boxing skills . He is embarassment to the game . Ever see the look on his face when he is pounding someone . Suspension is not what is needed here ! Medication and serious shock therapy is in order.
