Yes I think it should be a tougher punishment if it results in a concussion. If concussed punishment = X amount of games, if you're a repeated head shot artist your contract is voided.

As a Sabres fan, I would say to my people that the blog here isn't about us, and I would prefer that we weren't on here today making it so. I hope Loui is going to be as ok as possible, he's a bright spot for the sport and the league is better with him in it. Scott deserves a suspension for sure, and speaking of moving on, I'll be glad when he isn't playing a significant role on my team anymore. The Sabres will be better off.

Of course not. I would think it's obvious I'm talking about dirty hits here for example: Chara/Pacioretty, Torres/Hossa, Cooke/Savard/Anisimov/Tyutin/ E. Kane(attempt), Bertuzzi/Moore.

No worries, man. I'm a little fired up because yes Eriksson is a Bruin. I am very happy to have him always admired his game. But most importantly I am sick of this poop. Makes the game as whole look like poop and yet another talented player is sidelined.

My point wasn't directed at the Scott situation. It was at you saying if a guy gets a concussion the hitter should be suspended as many games as the player misses. So I said unless it's a clean hit cause guys can get concussions from clean hits. I also think that some pretty viscous hits get laid and the player receiving the hit is ok on the play so in situations like that there would be no suspension for a play that was more dangerous then a hit that was clean but resulted in injury.

The burning question in every ones mind: does Chara have another get out of jail free card? Or will he just pull out that picture that the bruins have of Shanahan & Bettman double-teaming a goat?

It is a poorly executed hit by Chara. However you're reaching because you are butt-hurt. If a report comes from SJ today that Wingels is concussed then Chara should be disciplined.

The other and biggest problem nobody in their infinite whining yesterday and today has discussed is how inconsistent the department of player safety is. The message is unclear and that's the only thing consistent with them.

Was an open ice hit on a goalie that roamed out of his comfort zone. Wasn't a suspendable play so get over it.

Don't think Ty was playing the victim, merely calling it for what it is, Scott wouldn't play on 95% of the other teams in the league, he gets out scored every year by GOALIES.

No Bruins fans claim the team is innocent, far from it, but not half as bad as all the Butt Hurt that goes on in here. Bruins employ NO TRUE GOONS on the team, they all have a role and play a significance.

Every team in the league has made stupid plays or had bad hits but come on, Bruins play hard nose hockey from 4 lines, like other teams in the league as well. Only teams that can't match the style of play to a pedigree that the Bruins and a handful of other teams can, that's when the opposing fan's cry Butt hurt and it turns into this.

It was a dumb play but come on Miller is still playing, he didnt stop being a good goalie bc of it, nothing impactful really came out of it. The majority of Avs fans dont care about Bertuzzi anymore, its in the past, I dont really get how this is such a heated point for some fans

It should not matter if the player that was hit in the head is hurt or not. If there is a hit to the head, there should be discipline. I think that leads to the inconsistency of the department of player safety.

I personally dont think this whole suspension if a player concussed rule would ever fly, concussions can happen in the most innocent of plays. Goalies getting a shot to the helmet, so does a player get a suspension for trying to score?

High sticks like the pronger incident, who would have thought his career would have ended bc of concussion like symptoms from a random play. There is too much grey area to monitor
