As good as the kids have been, Hudler has been a revelation. I wasn't too excited when he was signed but he has been good in a Flames uni. Ramo is giving us what we needed, better than league average goaltending. I was in for the long haul on the rebuild but what initially was a 3-5 year stretch before the PO again, I'm beginning to believe 2-3 years is a real possibility. Feaster and Hartley have done a great job getting this team ready for transition from vet laden to youth. Anyone else notice the sudden stop to the Feaster bashing? |

But i would still like something to happen to Kerr. - canadianpenfan
Man, Kerr is rough. The Flames may have the worst TV broadcast team (Kerr/Simmer) and the best radio team (Maher/Loubo). |

For some stupid reason I think they are going to send him down - The-O-G
Not gonna happen ... He will win the Calder ... Unless of corse there is someone less deserving playing out east |

Pittsburgh would like to challenge that. Hall of famer Lange on the radio, super homer mental patients Steigy and Errey on the tube. I usually watch with the radio on.
But yea, Kerr is atrocious. You can hardly tell who he's cheering for. |

Bahahahahaha I was thinking the same thing isn't he the guy bashing the Flames for only scoring 2 goals a game kinda fitting that the score was 3-2 Flames |

Monahan should only stay if they believe they have a real chance to make the playoffs this year. No sense burning a year off of is ELC if they don't. He's obviously playing well enough to stay, but that's not looking at the big picture.
Pittsburgh is keeping Maatta but I guarantee they wouldn't be if they didn't think they had a shot at winning this year.
Monahan has been fantastic but in Calgary's situation I don't think the decision is as easy as it seems on the surface. I hope he does stay though because he's fun to watch and hopefully if he scores a couple more really nice goals Rob Kerr will have a stroke. - canadianpenfan
Monahan's development should be the only consideration here. PERIOD! |

Brian Hayward is always the answer. Horrific homer.
I quite enjoy the Kings duo...he even said the Kopitar penalty was the correct call. They are always honest. |

To be honest there aren't many that I like. They all are homers to some degree. CBC is probably still the best, except when Hughson does Nucks games. |

Agreed, I thought he used to be one of the better colour guys before he started doing VAN games, now he's unlistenable. |

Kerr is horrid. I would prefer Loub.
Kerr is full of the stupidest comments, he's master of the obvious, and his voice-volume control on the mic is amateur when he gets excited. |

Same. Garret is a huge homer to boot. Super transparent. |

I wouldnt say I "like" Ramo better, more that I see potential in Ramo to be a starter where as MacDonald has already established himself as a backup. I think I can say Ive given him all the props he deserves to date as he's done quite well. |

man so much hate!
I never really noticed or got irked by the play by play
i think the commentators during the intermissions are way worse....Kevin Weekes...the guy was never a great goalie and it shows when he's analyzing...such useless obvious comments

Dude I hate to break it to you, no one likes Joey M.
The guy is a career AHL Journeyman and is replacement level.
Can he play .900-.910 hockey? Sure, but the idea for us is not to see how deep we can go year 1 of a rebuild. The goal is to team players, and to see what we have in all our unknown assets.
Ramo put up the following in the khl
year ga sv
2009-10 2.11 0.913
2010-11 1.97 0.925
2011-12 1.96 0.925
2012-13 2.00 0.929
He has more potential and is a less known asset. |

Did you ever hear the Fan morning guys with their 'No, no, nonono, no' rap they did on one of his dumb ass play calls?. I liked him commenting on radio back when, he's f'n awful doing play by play... at least hes not Ken Thrower and Curle's "sweeet victory" on the Hitmen games... Thrower makes me puke in my mouth every time I listen to the games... |

While Joey Mac's numbers aren't that great, to say nobody likes him is wrong. I think the team plays really well in front of him (or has thus far). A lot to be said for that!

I didn't have the pleasure. If I lived in Calgary I'd listen in but over the years I've been too lazy to tune into the Fan Online.
