I dont see Gleason as the key compontent to land a player like Yak, unless a player like Lindholm or Victor Rask are invovled as well. Elite scoring talents like Yak dont come cheap.

I would think the reason the Canes don't move Faulk is because he's more necessary to their team. That said, stick Nail beside Eric....you'd have a lethal top line, but your d would be really suspect. Not a fit.

Seriously, not really getting the urgency to dump Yakupov like he's the next Radulov or something.

You obviously have no idea about the Hurricanes....no way they give up their TOP D-man and top D-prospect (who will probably be on the team the whole season) for a forward. The Canes were blue-line buyers in the FA market, would have drafted Seth Jones if he fell one more spot, and openly suggested that Jeff Skinner was available for trade if a top pairing D-man was available coming back over the summer.

But when some people think that a 1st overall pick is worth the moon but Yakupov who is only 1 season removed from that pick is worth very little to the same people just because he "hasn't proven anything" then you know people are dumb.

Oh absolutely, as I should be. Not taking a shot at the team at all, it's just not all that well followed or covered in other parts of the league, so don't be surprised when someone who is a die hard hockey fan doesn't have his finger firmly on the pulse of what's happening with the Canes.
Unlike Edmonton, where other teams fans all seem to know each and every Oiler players exact worth.
