So there is no point in arguing that if we made this move or that move, we'd end up with Seth Jones. For all we know, the Flyers could have moved up a couple of spots and might have changed the whole dynamic of the draft. Maybe Tampa decides to pull the trigger on Seth Jones rather than picking Drouin--or maybe Florida has a change of heart.

We don't know the specifics so that's why it's pointless to speculate.

What's in the past is in the past. What the organization has to do now is focus on the present and future...decide whether the players they have now will get them to their final destination or not.

Dude, its just hockey talk... all we can do at this point is speculate about things or say Go Flyers which would leave this board pretty empty. I'm not giving up either, I want them to win now and win a cup now. But if it comes down to 4 games again (or something like that), and the Flyers have a choice of player a full roster, or throwing out some AHL guys in an attempt to get a top 2, 4, 5 pick whatever.. I think there is a reading comprehension issue. I also never stated that tanking 4 games to get Seth Jones wouldn't have made the future better. Follow the conversation along. Part of it was how does a team go about tanking. The motivation behind a team trading an impending UFA is to get assets for the future, not to purposely tank games. The team who makes said trades, will still be trying to win games on the ice, and not degrade the integrity of the game. That is an important distinction between the two. Purposely trying to lose games is the issue. A team that makes lineup changes for the sole purpose of losing games, is quite different from a team that trade an impending UFA because he's not in their future. Pretty easy concept to grasp.
