timonen i think. even if it was just choosing to sit players that were hurt, it would not be that hard to do
- hogweed

There are more factors at play, then just deciding to sit players that are hurt. Some of which I mentioned.

My apologies, I did not catch on that you were discussing Oates as a Coach. So sue me.

But regardless, that has zero to do with what Lecavalier prefers, and why I think he prefers to set up on the right side. Which is who the discussion was about.

It looks like a golf shirt they would sell in the team shop.

Still waaaaaay better than I could do, though.

Flyers need to wear Quaker jerseys for a game.

- Atomic Wedgie

it does look a little like a golf shirt, maybe correcting the logo size will help. Here everyone, I've tried to de-soccer and de-golf it by making the logo regular and the orange patch larger:

Ok I've posted a black concept jersey of mine in here before and it got a lot of s, so I figure I'll try again with a different concept I just made. I'd appreciate any thoughts on this:

Gagne was acquired in February. There was still a lot of season left at that point. Why wouldn't the Flyers make a move like that if they felt it could help them?
- MJL

Picks are much more valuable now that you can't just sign anyone you want with the cap. Last years was clearly not a cup contender. That should be the test for this club when trading assets that help your future for a fringe player to help you limp into the playoffs.

I don't disagree with any of that. All good points. But I have no problem with what the Flyers did there.

Ended up ok anyway with Haag falling in rd 2. The bigger issue was bringing Lavy back. I'm staying upbeat. Rangers, islanders right after the week off.

Absolutely not. And anyone who suggests they should do otherwise is a (frank)ing idiot loser.

- MBFlyerfan

And not only that. If I EVER found out the Flyers tanked to move up in draft position I would be finding a new team.

Yes, if there is one failure of Holmgren at this point, it's not firing Laviolette after last Season. And giving the new Coach the opportunity of a training camp. That was a mistake.

Me too; the thought of a team blatantly tanking is just wrong.

And for those who can't wait to get rid of Coburn, remember this: he and Gus are the only 2 dmen on this team that aren't average or below average skaters. Yes hes made a few bad mistakes, and he needs to a better job of keeping his feet moving, but unless you are moving him as part of a deal to acquire a better, faster dman, trading him would be a mistake.

He's still only 6'7"?

I'd thought he's be 6'9" by now. He hit his ceiling!

Asking the players to tank could never work. Tanking, like the 76ers did at the draft is how it is done. That said, tanking is a strong word. The 76ers sacrificed the here and now for the future. Only way to do it in the nba.

210 lbs?

Still lots of room to get more muscle on that frame.

Yup, he's been decent minus the injury. Plenty of room for his game to grow. Personally not expecting him for at least 2 or more years.

I wonder if they ever considered playing Coburn on the wing a la Brent Burns?

Both are the same size and Braydon is a faster skater. Just thinkin'.
