Pierre Lebrun reported that Edmonton is on Miller's no trade list. He could change his mind but I have a sense the Oilers are gunning for Myers or Ehrhoff. Just a hunch.
- mhp

Yeah I read that too but that being said I'd still make a deal. I'd prefer to get Eberle or RNH if Hoff/Myers are involved. Hoff/Myers are a more valuable asset considering they're signed which obviously gives Darcy more leverage. With Miller/Vanek Darcy does not hold any leverage. (insert joke here).

The problem here is that poindexter Darcy has never made a blockbuster type of move like this. Maybe what's been happening this week, is Pegula is bending Darcy's ear to do something, as TWG has alluded to.

I agree here. I would do Myers for Yak straight up. Or Ehrhoff and a second for him.

Then I would see if the supposed offer is still on the table from Washington

Send Miller Stafford and our first (not giving up Pysk) maybe McNabb if needed for Ovi

Vanek Hodgson Ovechkin
Foligno Grigorenko Yak
Ott Ennis Girgensons
Flynn Larrsons Porter

Pysk Myers or Ehroff
Risto Tallinder
Weber Zadorov he is close to returning

Enroth
Hackett

When Armia is healthy Ott kicks out Porter Armia on the third

Pipe dream but I think that keeps Vanek here. Buyout Leino get a veteran D in free agency get rid of Tallinder. Find a solid third or fourth line winger say goodbye to Porter or have Tropp play there when healthy

- Stripes77

I would think if Ehrhoff or Myers and Stafford is in the conversation, you could make a deal with the Oilers. I don't buy the idea that Ovi would come here.

The problem with Vanek is that the whole hockey world knows he's signing with Minny next year. It puts Regier in a bad position with another GM knowing they would have to move pieces now to get a part time player. Would Edmonton deal Vanek for Yak? Doubtful.

Zadorov will play his first NHL game. Girgensons in for injured McCormick. Ristolainen out. McBain likely in for 6. Must make roster move.

Ristolainen out why...? Scratched or injured...? Can't wait for Zads to make an impact. Watch for him to have a bout with someone like Downie/Bordeleau/Sarich. He DID have a big fight in his first OHL game against one of the best fighters in the league...

Yes, both Pegula and Sawyer are directly involved in what is going on now. I am directly around it daily, and there is much talk of 2 major moves coming this season. Not that any fan can't see why they'd do it.
I can tell you the Regier being let go rumor from Kypper has legs for sure. Although, I wasn't directly in the room on those conversations, that was a behind closed door situation and out of my realm.
I do know the Sabres have spoken to 4 teams about trading partner scenario's. Edmonton has had the most traction back and forth. And no, I don't know if Edmonton is on Miller's list or not, and I can't see how Pierre would know considering I'm much closer to the situation than he is, and, as I said, I don't know that information. It's under lock and key down the hall in DR's office.

Not really. It does minimize the long term type package Regier can get for him, but they always looked at TV as a rental at the deadline for a team making a run. I know they'll expect much more than a 22 to 29 pick for him though, that would mean a team would have to move assets/picks to get up in the top 10 to garner Vanek's services. I'd pay attention to what teams do around the Jan-Feb time frame trade wise. Prospects and/or picks, who would be in the cup contention field and what did they stock pile prior to the dead line scenario. Just an FYI........

I know, what a dumb dumb. You signed the petition and want Darcy to stay.

My guess is it was a sorry attempt at sarcasm.

I get what you are saying and it makes sense. However we can't score. We need offense in the worst kind of way
- Stripes77

I agree. If there was a younger version of iginla out there he would be perfect for this team.

Which scares me. I hope he doesn't go out there and try too hard to make a name for himself and get hurt fighting or something

Im calling it. Zadorov makes an immediate physical impact in the lineup....has a borderline hit on one of the Avs stars. Roy climbs the bench and knocks out Rolston. Zadorov ends up getting a 6 game suspension and is scarred for the rest of his career...never knowing how to have a balanced game and we trade him in two years for a 5th round pick. Yep

Not upset at the decision. Risto had some rough patches last game but then again everyone did. He though particularly could not keep the puck in the zone when it was chipped up to the point...spent allot of time chasing it back into our own end. Mcbain could help that out. We suck with whoever in so I dont think anything really matters in the end. Riso is still getting good mins when in...shouldn't hurt any development i hope

I need to correct and earlier tweet. I said 6 likely to sit. He is playing as they'll likely go with 7 D and sit Porter.

How on earth Tallinder is not the one sitting out is beyond me.

He was flat out AWFUL last game. Dreadful.
