He's going to force Darcy to trade him for nothing essentially.
- dadeadhead

I doubt it. He will want to win this year wherever gives him the best shot and move closer to home in FA. If Darcy can't get anything for him he stays here. He would make a ton of money by going to a team and winning a series or two

DD... To be very frank...... I do not want Darcy to make any moves!!!!!!! This team is fuucked up enough.............
- rapperray

Yea Ray. One of our daughters took our grandson to that game last night.
Even my 4 year old grandson called me from the arena and said "Papa....the Sabres are not good Papa".
That's pretty bad.
Cute as hell but bad.

You think?
I am not sure Ryan wants to hurt this fan base any more than it already is.
Ryan does have a huge heart.
This type of thing I could see from Thomas, not Ryan.

It's what I would do if I were in his situation. And not as a fvck you to th fans but as a fvck you to management.

I would want the new gm to replace Rolston ASAP!!!!!
- rapperray

i don't know how they wouldn't.. he has made this team worse. i don't know how this is still tolerated, yeah it has only been a few games, but this team is playing like a bunch of highschoolers.. they can't connect on passes, they wont shoot, no one drives the net, no one wins battles in the corners, myers falls all over the place, weber screens every shot he can.

There are 8 contenders in the east he could go to its just those 8 teams will give up very little to get him as the know he won't resign. He's gonna make it so they move him to the team he wants to resign with out west or no western team at all and take a pop shot with a contending eastern team for this year and this year alone.

This can't possibly be true, right? You don't become a billionaire by not making common sense business moves do you? "I know I should do this but I'll cost myself money to spite you because it was your idea and not mine!"
- Pierceme69

Not "because it was your idea, not mine", but because "you are demanding I do it, and making a big stink about it publicly in order to to strong-arm me into doing it". Notice the defiance from Ted Black, and even Pegula ("what has he done wrong?") over the summer with which they defended the decision to keep him. Eventually, the roars get so loud that you have to do something, but he's going to hold out as long as he can. This is why I'm on the fence. I want Darcy gone as much as the next guy, but I want Pegula and co. to do it on their own, not because the fans are howling and screaming. Like I alluded to a couple of days ago, if Pegula hires and fires people on the fans', even the majority, every whim, you eventually get a team run by mob rule (see Philadelphia at times), which is just as much of a disaster.

i think miller is tougher to move than Vanek... Vanek could put a team over the top and make them a real contender so they might give a little more. Miller needs to go to a team that needs a goalie and those teams are limited.. everyone could use Vanek

Bingo.

And honestly many of the fans that hated Dom for that have softened on their feelings.

I think there is a possibility he resigns with an eastern team. He doesn't have many options. The Islanders make perfefct sense IMO. Wifey probably would like the big apple. Islanders are getting close to making the next step and have plenty of good young talent. Nabakov is on a 1 year deal so they will be looking for a goalie regardless in the summer

Hasek, though, was ticked off about the Peca situation. You had a guy who could help the team, either by signing him or trading him for a big return (the cap had not been put in place yet), and Regier did nothing. I think that set him off. Ryan Miller had at least said, at the beginning, anyway, that he could be convinced to stay. Hasek never had that approach.

I thin they're is zero possibility he signs to stay in the east unless it's with the rangers.

Going to be hard to move a goalie as of now, BRYZ even though he's a headcase can be had for cheap. People mention Miller going to the Blues, seems like it won't fit IMO. They have Halak who is playing well and Elliot, now you're back to square 1 again with that, the Blues would have to move one or the other and that would be hard to do as of now. The Ducks maybe but then again who will take Hiller and his 4.1 mill as of now.

Anyone else notice whenever they showed the Sabres bench. Sucko the assistant coach was pointing and communicating (yelling) at the players and they showed RR standing no emotion and scribbling on his note pad?

Its like them saying there is no truth to the Darcy getting fired rumor. What else can miller say but that? It'd of been a pr disaster for him.
