My thought is a new gm isn't going to tolerate the inability to coach. So we also get a coach that can actually mentor the young guys. That is a step forward
- SabresFaninIndiana

I see, fair point. If it happens early enough I could see the change in GM having an effect on player movement come deadline day. He'll probably have a different opinion on certain key players which may affect the build of the roster.

I'm feeling your pain. Sabres looked pretty bad for most of the game. Hope the crowd gets it's way and Darcy is shown the door.

The more I think about it, this Kypreos story is the worst thing that could have happened. Let's assume for a moment Kypreos is right, and that things are in motion (he never said it was going to happen this week, in fact, he said it would take a couple months, but could be sooner). We all know how testy the Pegula circle is with the media. They're going to hold onto this because they refuse to let the media, and to an extent the fanbase, tell them how to run their business.

What's all the fuss about Darcy and Rolston? I thought we wanted last place. Or does everyone want a new coach and GM and finish 10 as usual.

They want Darcy Regier nowhere near the decisions that last place entails. They're building up assets for the future. They don't want Regier being the one to cash them in, because it will be a waste of resources. A new GM with Ron Rolston still as the coach gets them just as bad of a result. The players do not fear him, and they don't really respect him either. As long as that happens, we will continue to see this team take a nosedive and get a lottery pick.

It is agonizingly sad that when the powers that be, got rid of Ruff, they thought keeping Regier was a good idea, just astounds me, they owner/management are getting exactly what they deserve. I truly believe the good trades Darcy as made, the tail just happened to land on the donkey. Have no faith in him as a GM of any sporting franchise.

At the end of the day, he's a GM that stayed in one place way too long.

I think we all know Darcy isn't going anywhere anytime soon but it's fun to talk about the what if's. I don't believe anything Kypreos has to say, reporters can say or write what they want to but it will not effect the way the Sabres brass conducts business.

I do believe the Sabres have put feelers out. The fact that TV ratings are going down will cause some sort of move to be made: be it a trade, firing the GM, firing the coach, or something else. They will make a move soon to try to repair the PR nightmare they've created.

IMO we all know the move that should be made but that move won't happen, a trade doesn't help much either IMO and the coach shouldn't be there anyways it's just Darcy's way of staying in control. They will bulls$$t there way through again.

Fire him in the new year or else it looks bad on Pegula keeping him around for 10-15 games. Gives plenty of time for a new GM to come in and get a draft plan in place, trade away the expiring deals.

If Darcy get Yakupov for Miller...
Wow
We're gonna lose him anyways. And somehow get the #1 pick from two years ago?!
Yes, please!
Could be exactly what Grigorenko needs
Ott-Grigorenko-Yakupov
I like the looks of that
Actually, if we pull off that trade without losing Vanek, I'd love to see him in that line. Or even Girgensons.

Get rid of Darcy?
We need to get rid of the coach that keeps putting Grigorenko on the 4th freaking line
This is ridiculous

This can't possibly be true, right? You don't become a billionaire by not making common sense business moves do you? "I know I should do this but I'll cost myself money to spite you because it was your idea and not mine!"

I do think a trade with Myers & Yakupov is a lot more likely though. Maybe withe pieces added on to one or both sides?

An Oilers fan suggested Yak for Myers & Enroth
That sounds about right to me

Ya. I get where he's coming from. But if Pegula thinks there's a move to be made, he seems like the kind of guy that will do it. Regardless of media, fans, etc

What do u think about these Edmonton rumors?
I can't see Miller or Vanek there.
I think it's more likely we build a package around Myers

Yes, I only cut and pasted it but it was a pretty good article now we'll see if it has any legs.
