Myers played 28 minutes last night. Anyone who doesnt think he's top 4 is crazy. - sbroads24
Sorry, but he isn't producing offensively, he gets outchanced (albeit on a weak team so those numbers could be skewed), and has statistically degraded since rookie season. |

At the time, those players looked A LOT better than they would prove to be. Also, Kovalchuk was a UFA that had expressed interest in going to FA. - MaximumBone
Yakupov is lazy, and has expressed interest in being lazy.
Sorry I had to, lol. |

That's only because he is so slow, it takes him a long time to get off the ice at the end of his shifts. |

That's fair. Keep in mind, though, some of that may have come across wrong as he isn't quite fluent in English. Take what he said with that grain of salt. |

So what about Reimer/Gardiner for Taylor Hall? |

If only David Clarkson was slower at jumping off the bench. |

Wanna tell me Stafford has value and that pending-UFA Ryan Miller has much, either? Or is this about Myers? |

I do. I said it in jest mainly.
I think there's a lot of hope for him obviously. He's young, as long as people address his attitude problems properly I think he'll live up to his potential.
I'm just glad Montreal finally got the player with work ethic for once, we've been in the boat you guys are with Yakupov way too many times. |

Just remember Vancouver. They wanted the world for Luongo and ended up trading the younger cheaper goalie for less than they wanted for Luongo. |

Every single player gets out chanced. He's only had 1 season out of 5 that are statistically bad. He would probably be you're best defensemen with a competent partner |

What a Kovy thing to say |

This trade can happen for Flyers! I would send Scott Laughton, Matt Read, Braydon Coburn and a 3rd round pick to Oilers for Nail Yakupov and Ales Hemsky. This would work for both teams as Flyers would be getting 2 much needed skilled forwards as they have too many muck and Grinder type players and No Creativity and Oilers would be getting a big Mobile skating Defenseman who can Flourish in a different type system, a speedy gritty decent forward who showed he is capable to score 30 goals a year and a 1st round 2way forward prospect in Laughton who the Flyers wouldn't require in their lineup as they already have a young 2way forward in Couturier! Both teams have nothing to lose as they are at the bottom of the barrel and I think change of scenery can make a world of difference for all of these players involved! |

Nichushkin will go before Yak does. Kovy will be back whether anyone likes it or not and he will float team to team getting traded at the deadlines for firsts like Jagr lol |

ACTUALLY, Ehrhoff, Foligno, Larsson, and Pysyk (you've got a real keeper in him) pull positive in that regard.
I also disagree with your assertion that he'd be our best as Petry has established himself well as a fill-in #2 and Belov is tearing his way up the depth chart with every passing game. Schultz might also get a bump over him for his offense, but I couldn't be certain.
I'll secede that Myers IS a top-4. |

Sub out Nurse for Klefbom or Marincin and a pick (3rd) and I'd do that. |

Belov is looking like a great pickup... If he gets more pp time and blast fromt he point we may have finally replaced Souray's shot and pp totals.. |

Myers Career : .44 ppg +4 22:42 TOI
Petry career: .27 ppg -21 21:31
You can make the argument that Petry is on the upswing and Myers has been on the downswing, however Myers seems to be returning to form |
