Edler is a scum bag. What a cheap shot, deserves suspension. Next time don't be a wussy and check like a man. No one likes head hunters - Apruitt

I watched at least 4 Giants games when Gallagher was there. I was quietly pissed off we didn't draft him ourselves. The Canucks scouting staff seem to be allergic to the WHL. |

~ The Hall to center experiment was stupid
~ Smyth is too slow and needs to retire
~ Yakupov needs to show a little hustle out there
~ Eberle disappears way too often
~ Dubnyk has been bad, but so has the D... Dubnyk needs to do what he did the last 3 seasons
~ A lot of people question some of the line combos Eakins has iced, and I can't really blame them
~ We like our 4th line
~ Most are happy with last night's performance, even though the Oilers lost... They didn't play a bad game, they just couldn't catch a break. |

I think it has more to do with the worry that drafting players from BC for Vancouver, before they've had time to mature might put too much pressure on them too fast. Imagine being 18-19-20 and trying to play for your hometown team and knowing the history and how rabid the fanbase is, isn't easy to deal with even at the best of times.

Good feedback. Interesting that the 4th line, which was one of the major concerns for this season from what I read, seems to be going well.
Hall and Smyth points totally agreed from what I can see.
Eberle and Yakupov, very tough and unfair to judge them this early in a season, but IMO should both be on the trade block to get back some pieces you might actually need. How many small, skilled wingers can a team really justify in a salary cap era when there are obvious needs in other parts of the roster?
Dubnyk has looked poor and some of that is his fault and his alone, from what I've seen. Still, early days.
Eakins - no clue. The jury's still out.
MacT - Loved the guy as a coach, as a GM I'm not convinced. Would be interested to get his thoughts on the team. |

If he can handle that he would've been fine here, but would he have cracked the line-up with AV as the coach, that's the real question and we all know the answer.
Next year can't get here soon enough. |

Well, Shanahan is a douche bag. Liked him as a rough and tumble player, hate him as a crooked commissioner who suspends our players every chance he gets. |

That's bullpoop. You don't know his intent.
You're allowed to play the body if the puck is in the vicinity, which it is.
This is all on Hertl. He has his head down, and is leaning over reaching for the puck opening his body.
Edler has his elbow tucked, doesn't jump, and is preparing for a shoulder check, which it would have been had Hertl not leaned down and forward reaching for the puck.
Edler should not have to adjust his hit because Hertl has put himself in a vulnerable position, nor would he have been able to in such short notice.
Hell, there's even Hawks, Flames, and Sharks fans in here agreeing that it's a BS suspension. - Fosco
Just unreal that that is a 3 game suspension. With hits like that being suspendable, its a wonder there are any player allowed on the ice at all. We still dont have Kassian back yet. |

I was at the World Cup of Hockey game Russia at Canada in Vancouver in '96. Shanahan delivered a two hand slash (high stick) to Russian Alex Semak, which earned him a one game suspension from the tournament. He of all people should have better perspective on this kind of thing, but it continues to be a joke. |

I am sure if he was the one actually handing out the suspensions it would have been only one. #Dontbefooled |

Funny, I was thinking that there is a guy behind the curtain pushing the buttons and that Shanahan, and Campbell before him, really weren't the ones making decisions...
Things that make you go hmmm. |
