I guess he's trying to beat speed with speed? Hawks lost a lot of their grit to FA. - Danformo
If Nelson is in tomorrow and PMB is out then that thought process makes sense |

As per staple. Nelson is odd man out if moulson plays

The only negative with us making the playoffs last year was having to try to understand stupid shat like this for a longer period of time. |

I gave up trying to understand Capuano's decision making long ago. It actually makes my head hurt. - Cptmjl
it actually bothers me that I can predict it successfully.
Bouchard has showed nothing so far and Nelson has controlled the play at times and made some nice passes. So he sits so we don't piss off a vet we signed as a ufa. Reasoner 2.0.

Exactly. Nelson is no slouch and has been playing incredibly well IMO. PMB has been noticeably bad at times and not noiceable at all other times. There is zero logic in this decision. |

Cappy is a special kind of idiot. He was not happy in ruining Nino and now he has to mess with Nelson. |

Even if that does happen you can't justify sitting Nelson over him tonight. What kind of message does that send to the rest of the team? You play like shat you continue to play. Play a good well rounded game you will sit? Makes zero sense |

no kidding, it's laughable how badly Grabner is utilized and how quickly he's the scapegoat for everything. The guy has wheels, can anticipate where the play is going and puts up goals, from the third line usually with limited minutes and is a solid penalty killer. wtf more does he want? - Isles_since_6
Cappy is upset Grabner has all the talent Cappy never had. |

the only goal for this team should be dressing the players that give them the best chance to win each night. period. If someone hasn't been playing well, regardless of who it is, they sit down.
This is how you get the respect of the players and keep everyone honest. Playing favorites like Cappy does will bite him in the ass at some point. We're incredibly fortunate not to have another Nino situation given the amount of questionable roster decisions Bozo the clown makes from behind the bench.

Did you see the interview with Capuano after the Devils game? Grabner pretty much single handidly won that game and Capuano was asked about Grabs play. He was borderline critical of him saying he has to continue being physical and add more to his game. I was shaking my head. Grabner would be ANY coaches dream. |

Don't under estimate the reach Charles Wang and Snow have. wang won't like $2 mill sitting in the pressbox. |

Correct. I would love to know where this hate for grabner comes from? I honestly think reporters ask him about grabs sometimes to stir the shat. It's that noticeable. |

Not far fetched but the other option is sitting home grown talent that's learning the NHL game and gives your team the best chance to win? Doesn't make sense. How do you justify him playing Reasoner in game one against the Pens and almost scratching his best PK'er against the leagues #1 PP in the playoffs? Grabners salary was obviously higher than Reasoners. I truly believe this is all Capuano. |

I could see it coming from either party. That said, I do believe the Isles intend to give PMB every chance possible to succeed and therefore scratching him in the first month of play is highly unlikely.

Now, on the bright side, we used to have 3 or 4 guys to choose from. Now its really tough to pick one. PMB has brought the least to the table but its not like he's exactly Hurt us either. |

Meh. We always try to justify someone's stupidity by blaming someone else within the team. Usually we blame Wang for Snow's shortcomings now were blaming Snow for Capuano's? Capuano is not the sharpest coach. How much more proof do we all need? Really think about some of the ridiculously stupid stuff we have all seen |

We can say capuano is an idiot all we want but the isles have only lost 2 games in their last 20 regular season games ? The guy has the team playing winning hockey and with better goaltending had the penguins beaten in the playoffs. He deserves the benefit of the doubt a little bit right now |
