This pretty much sums it up....

Sam Carchidi
@BroadStBull
All you need to know about state of #Flyers: Kris Newbury has more points (1) than Giroux,Hartnell,Voracek, Couturier,Simmonds, Read, etc

I will say i can't believe how fast that ref blew the whistle on that shot that hit price in the chest. It barely hit his chest before he blew the whistle then dropped straight down for the easy goal which was of course disallowed because of the whistle.
- Flyers_01

That was a horrible call. The refs in my beer league would not miss that.

What statistics? Give me a break. Listen. It's been fun, but it's a debate you just won't win. The Leafs are the example of failure.
- Flyers1218

In his defense, according to HARO QoC, Phanuef did play the hardest minutes last year..... What he doesn't mention is that (frank)ing Oliver Lauridsen played the 3rd hardest minutes, and Gus played the 6th.

Was anything interesting said in the post game interviews by Laviolette or the players?

Yes that they thought it was still the preseason and they were still working things out. Also Lava said he found the switch and he flipped it.

Hahhaahah thanks... I think..... Most fans in Kanida are good. I had a Habs fan spit on my Hextalll jersey at the Bell centre a few years back.. I went to the fan gear store and wiped it off with a Habs jersey.. .

Ha.. I didn't say they did... Leafs fans don't represent Canada either, just so you know.

Edit. As a Canadian, I did not appreciate that the Leafs had a blue Canadian flag with TML on the maple leafs that was passed around the crowd. The Canadian flag was fine, but don't modify the actual flag.

Yeah but the pens are getting plently of scoring from everyone else.... Scoring is something we lack severely.

No he shouldn't. His magic touch is gone. He has also grossly overvalued Couterier and Schenn. I could only imaging what we could have acquired the last two offseason for these guys. They are marginal NHL players at best. Completely unimpressed.
- Flyers1218

If the trade for Weber was B. Schenn, Coutier, and Morin (the first round pick)... i'm still unsure why they didn't do that trade.

Granted it was just a rumor and may have been never an option.

No, they don't.

But the fans that come to Philly from Canada are among the coolest I encounter and I've had these seats for over 10 years.

The worst? Well, Ranger fans, of course.....

All the "QC" guys glitch (cheat) in NHL 14. I don't like em.

I am one of those fans, so thank you good sir. Also, Philly fans are some of the best American hockey fans I have met (although I am biased) lol.

that's because everyone is terrified to go to philly. Not joking, i'd love to go but wouldn't wear my leafs jersey in Philly. Anywhere else I would.

Agreed. There's a bunch of what ifs that we could go over, but its pointless. I feel like the talent is here, just not being utilized correctly.

Positives? We can take out a goalie like no one else. It happened to be our own 2 times out of 3, but hey kid, welcome to Philly...

The Vancouver ones certainly act like wienerheads with the riots and I guess so do the Habs fans on occasion.

I wore my Flyers jersey in Boston and I really thought my GF and I were going to get killed.. Many people yell at me in Montreal as well, but Boston was the worst.

true. just thought it was an odd thing. not often you are going to find a five game combined stretch in which those two dont show up on the stat sheet.

it is still early though. a lot can change. although there are some points to be worried about, i wouldve never thought it would be the offense for you guys. i totally disagree when people say the forward talent is not there on this team.

Don't be.

It sucks to be part of a fanbase that gets judged on it's worst members.

But, in my experience, fans that come in from out of town down in the lower bowl and behave themselves NEVER get messed with.

Only time I've ever seen trouble is when it was...well.....requested.
