I think they are the worst team in the nhl.
- Hextall271

I agree. They need to make a change.

How for does this have to go? 0 and 5? 0 and 10? I'd like for them to make a change so that I can watch with interest for the season.

Well, 0-3. 1-10 since the start of preseason. What does this team do now?
- Flyers1218

You know the scary part? Since I was whining after the New Jersey loss in the preseason where we dressed 90 percent of our regulars against a borderline AHL lineup and still lost, I'm not sure there's anything to do.

I think we're "out-talented." I understand people feel differently, but to me, it's clear as day.

I think the talent is being asked to do things the talent is unable to do.

I think that's been evident for awhile, but I am willing to give Laviolette time to work it out.

The thing regarding trades.

I dont see too many teams being interested at this point of the season.

Each Schenn brother has a goal this year.

Mr. and Mrs. Schenn have to be thrilled.

See, to me? That's the very definition of not being talented enough.

Hey, at least there was a price to pay for going to the Flyers' net. Actually, the Flyers have at least made themselves a little snarlier and tougher to play against in 2nd and 3rd periods tonight.... it's pretty much the only silver lining I see tonight at this point.

Bill,

Do you think the problems could be solved with a new coach, or do you think the issues run deeper into personnel?

too many bad decisions with puck high in the offensive zone

too many guys not moving their feet

too many guys running around instead of playing their positions properly

No consistent forecheck
No crispness in the breakouts or the passing game
Not enough traffic going to the net

This is just getting really, really old.

There's a 37 year old player somewhere who is licking his chops at getting a 3 year, 5 mill/yr deal with a no movement clause golden parachute contract.

The positives thus far are the lack of scoring hasn't carried over to the regular season.

A boring, brain dead, awful team. It's going to be a fun season.

The Flyers are closer, (much closer) to the worst team in the sport, then they are to a playoff team.

- PLindbergh31

They are the worst team in the league in my books.

Stake me to the cross if you will but, simmonds and Hartnell are part of the problem, one or the other needs to go. They are just to 1 dimensional in what they bring to the team..they couldnt keep the puck on their stick if you slapped a pound of flubber to the blades..they constantly loose puck battles for men of their size. lose pucks off their sticks etc.

Just isn't enough offensive talent on this team.
The D is serviceable but the O is not even close to that .
Maybe it is the system.
Maybe it is having too many grit vs skill players.
I know Giroux and Voracek will eventually get their points but we have too many black holes in players like Couturier and Talbot.
I can't imagine Ed is happy with any of this.

Understood.

I just don't think the answer is "TRADE". I think it's a different coach and a different approach.

I mean, how is it that Claude Giroux has ZERO goals after 3 games?

Wow glad we sent him back so Adam Hall can finish the year with 1 or 2 goals and 4 or 5 points

Starts at the (frank)ing top of the organization and trickles down.

There is no easy fix here, and no matter what system Lava has them running Holmgren is in charge of the whole show.
