He didn't try to use his pads, he tried to squeeze his legs together on the puck. It was sloppy technique, I think.

why wont this team cover the points in the D zone? they sag the wingers down low to help out and then wrap the puck upthe boards to their points over, and over, and over. till they finally get it out just to start the cycle all over again

This team drives me nuts. That was a bad goal there, but they should have cleared the zone about 10 times before that, but they can't even make or receive a simple pass without screwing it up. They just keep making stupid play after stupid play. And even when they do have a chance to win a puck they lose the battle. They are almost unwatchable at this point. If I was Laviolette I'd quit. Doesn't seem like there's any way this group will play smart, disciplined hockey. Too much stupid out there for it to be all the coaches fault.

Weather the storm? There shouldn't be one. It's (frank)ing Carolina. People need to start being fired. Homer and Laviolette and then trade (frank)ing Coburn. Shake things up.
