That's what I'm hoping, that he plays huge go-to-guy minutes for Oshawa, gets traded to a contender later and the season and hopefully makes it to WJC and has a good showing there too. - GirouxForTheShow
I asked a scout what teams he felt could be in the running to land him should he be moved. I was given London, Guelph, & Sudbury.

For whatever it's worth the announcers doing this junior game were shocked Mason started last night. |

That would add to an already loaded team.
I did pick London vs Sudbury to meet in the OHL final |

They must have missed Emery's performance against Washington. |

Ilya Bryzgalov will report to the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL for an official tryout with the club.
Bryzgalov intends to keep himself in game shape while he awaits a call from an NHL club in need of goaltending help. We're still a long way from him having any value in fantasy leagues.

His reputation is poison and combined with the pedestrian level of play, teams are scared off. Supposedly there a team out there, willing to roll the dice on him, just want to see him play. |

I'm guessing Calgary as they seem to be in the most dire shape. |

There's a few teams out there that could use a solid goalie...Flames one of the leaders, for sure.

There are enough rules in place for the refs to make it very undesirable for the coach to put his enforcers out on the ice to either stir the pot or retaliate. They just need to step up and make the calls.
Orr cross checks Rosehill high in the chest near his face...major for cross checking and a game misconduct. Gone. TO shorthanded for five plus the initial penalty.
The ref could even call it a match for an obvious intent to injure.
Word gets around, enforcer's minutes decrease. Easy peasy. - 77rams
I don't think you're going to find refs making calls just to try and eliminate an enforcer from the game. Making a call a major or a match penalty, when it doesn't meet the criteria, degrades the integrity of the game. I guarantee the League doesn't want that. I think that needs to be on the up and up.
And I'm not saying that in terms of the Orr cross check. But in general. Because I feel Orr should've gotten more then 2 minutes. |

FYI...
unless it's a mistake, Gamecenter is allowing me to get the NBC feed of the LA-MIN gm. couldn't do that last yr and it was a pain in the ass going back and forth between my cable box and the Apple TV. |

Not at all. I think it was simply about your passion for the sport and for the team.
Hell I stated numerous times that I thought Raffl made the team. And I also thought that Laughton was with the Flyers to stay. I was surprised by both demotions.

IMO, both will be with the big club by mid-season. There will be a big trade before mid season involving a Dman and some assets on offense. |

Wait.
This is the league that instructs it's refs to call every infraction regardless how insignificant or at what point in the game. And they should be worried about over calling the incident that could potentially cause serious injury?
They were instructed to blow the whistle at the slightest suggestion of a penalty - tap and break another's paper weight stick, they won't hesitate to raise their hand. Why not 1- protect the players and 2- get rid of the clowns? I though the new rules were implemented to speed up the game and let the talent show itself?
And I'm talking specifically about penalties like the Orr c/c which certainly met either the major or match criteria.
