Question for the ladies (and guys):
Money aside, would you leave your significant other for Max Talbot? |

That's what an ideal third-line winger looks like: Daniel Cleary. - AllInForFlyers
Not sure that Raffl getting sent down is automatically good news for Laughton and/or precludes them bringing in another forward a la Cleary.

In some cases, 12 seems kind of generous. |

And because this is a crucial year for Sean Couturier's development, no, I do not think you can have a winger who has consistently struggled to put up points stifling his growth. That's why I wanted Daniel Cleary -- a clear-cut 40-point winger -- to come here.

Dan Cleary from three years ago maybe. Before his body broke down.
He was on pace for 25 points last season. Talbot was on pace for 23. |

Nope.
I'm seriously spoiled.
Not a bad looking man and he has a sense of humor, but not my type. |

I was wondering that. Who knows, maybe they aren't sold on any of them just yet. |

I hope so -- because they were right before, in looking to bring Cleary in. There's clearly a hole there. |

I'm not making an assumption. Do you honestly think that other people don't read, or can't read, anything other than what you read? Do you truly think that? I don't have to make assumptions -- people write stories about hockey teams every single day!
Talbot said -- and Ray Shero agreed -- that he wanted to see what was out there in free agency because the Pens didn't see him as anything more than a fourth-liner -- and because he was on the fourth line behind Cooke-Staal-Kennedy, he was right!
And because this is a crucial year for Sean Couturier's development, no, I do not think you can have a winger who has consistently struggled to put up points stifling his growth. That's why I wanted Daniel Cleary -- a clear-cut 40-point winger -- to come here.

When dealing with Mr Answer a question with a question you have to learn to not leave yourself open.
For example, it depends what kind of 3rd line you want. A shutdown checking 3rd line, or one that will outscore other teams 3rd lines.... |

Everybody realizes that's more points than Maxime Talbot was on pace for, though, right?

Two more points over an 82 game season.
If you want to go just by points, Gagne was on pace for 34. |

Maybe. My fiancee saw me through 2 shattered legs, does all the grocery and dog food shopping, cooks, cleans up after himself, is great at fixing things around the house, picks up dog poop and takes care of the yard, is a fantastic gamer, the best GM I've ever had, loves science trivia, laughs at my jokes, and is hot as hell.
I'm spoiled not crazy. |

Yes, the fact that you would be with a millionaire and have free hockey tickets and get to travel wouldnt make up for him not being your type.... |

Are we really trying to argue that Daniel Cleary and Maxime Talbot are the same player?
Because if we're going to look at the lockout season as what a player truly is, instead of the seasons leading up to it, then we've got problems on this roster.

I'm not arguing that Talbot is old, broken down and well past his best. Just that Cleary is. |
