If Bernier is the #1 at Christmas, I have a feeling everybody will be happy, cause it means he's playing lights out. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Nah... just means he's playing better than Riemer |

....or that Reimer is injured again
PS: Why would you play lights out? Surely lights on is much more condusive towards succes.... |

AGREED. the 7th game tragedy, Reimer wasn't part of the problem but he certainly wasn't part of the solution. Isn't a goalie suppose to steal a game when his team fails around him? I worry Reimer doesn't have that in him. - GCHonda
Come on...don't games 5 and 6 in the playoffs last year count?
This selective memory with Reimer is actually kinda funny at this point. Let's remember the last 2 minutes of a game where the whole team quit, but forget when Reimer stood on his head and stole 2 playoff games against a team like Boston. |

I'm not sure what this gibberish is. Reimer's winning % is better than Bernier's...53 wins in 104 games is better than 29 wins in 62 games. - djamon
He meant last season.
19-8-5 vs 9-3-1. |

Selective hearing, selective memory. Reimer was a phenom last year, especially in the playoffs. Carlyle blew the game 7 more than Reims did. How bout a timeout at 4-2 to calm the boys down?? Stupid stupid stupid. |

How so?
1. We have a new Potvin.
2. We have a new Darcy Tucker. (he'll be back after 10 games though)
3. Our one-dimensional sniper destroys guys now.
4. Franson is cheap.

Phenom is pushing it. He was good, great at times and bad at times he has no consistency. |

I know. But if he's gonna shrink the sample size down that far the numbers are meaningless.
Look...I want Bernier to be excellent. I want him to be the goalie in the first half of the Buffalo game and not the guy who whiffed on a clear point shot in the second half.
I also want Reimer to be excellent so he can be traded in the off-season. |
