Couturier's was just as good as Read's. Emery's was a great deal, too. - Jsaquella
i was on the verge of editing my post to include these 2 deals, but u made me stop
those were also fantastic deals. The Couts one was absolutely (frank)ing insane, ihnfc how he pulled that off
Getting Emery at 1.6 or w/e it was after he went like 16-1 is phenominal as well
Did Couts fire his agent after that contract?
I dont care what anyone says, Homer had a very very good offseason |

He's the clutchiest, isn't he? What's his NHL upside? - JAKEw1234
Similar style to Eric Wellwood with more offensive potential, at least that what myself & Bill think |

I'd say 3rd liner with maybe 2nd line at best upside. |

We're pretty much screwed cap wise next year unless Homer pulls some magic tricks or the cap goes up 4-5M |

That shouldn't concern you at all right now, that's a down the road problem not immediate. |

Can we all agree this is the best contract Homer has given out in his Flyers tenure in giving Read 3.625M/yr?
So pumped. Our 3rd line is gonna be (frank)ing incredible.
I know they want Laughton at C, but for now he doesnt have a future at C for awhile.
I'd do a Laughton-Couts-Read line
super shutdown line - FLYERSROCK!
Giroux's second contract was prob best value. |

The cap will go up, it's still not a problem worry about at the moment. |

We're OK. We only really need to resign BSchenn and the goalies. If we resign BSchenn, then we should still have around $7 mil left, which also still leaves us the option of pursuing a certain big name goalie who might be hitting the market next summer. He's a pipe dream, but a fun one. |

Leier robbed of a power play goal due to a terrible call, all tied after 1 |

No, why would there be concern? No reason to sign him right now. |

The same thing was said coming into this Season, and the season before that, and the one before that.

Involved in all aspects of the game. I'll likely be missing the rest of the game. |

Just realized that you're estimated $7.3 mil in cap space next offseason doesn't even account for the cap rising $6 mil or more. We're dandy cap-wise. |

The Flyers are going to be tight against the Cap every year. Fact of life. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

I really like the simmonds contract. I don't think anyone pegged him as a 25-30 goal scorer when he was acquired and homer locked up the 25 year old for another 6 seasons for under $4 million. Love his hustle and grit. |
