Tavares 202 pts after 3 years, Hall - 145
Tavares 121 pts after 2 years, RNH - 76
Tavares 54 pts after 1 year, Yak - 31
I'm sure you wanna talk about PPG pace, but they gotta play the games for their points to count. And your guys have had real trouble staying on the ice. - djamon

maybe you should watch Tavares play before making ridiculous statements.
Moulson has no skating skill, can't backcheck or play defense but can make a living in front of the net. Boyes had 7 goals and played himself onto the 4th line in Buffalo prior to signing with the Isles and was awful defensively, continually turned the puck over, would miss wide open opportunities and was let walk at the end of the year with no replacement for him at the time, without even a contract offer. That should tell you how good he was.
Moulson and JT have chemistry, but JT is the one doing all the heavy lifting - if Moulson went somewhere else he'd be screwed and it shows because he has not produced the few times they dropped him to the second line.
Are you comparing Hall with Boyes or Moulson? Because I'd say he's way better than Moulson and comparing him to Boyes is hilarious.
Can I have some of what you're smoking? - Isles_since_6
Maybe you should watch Hall, RNH, and Yakupov play... Because I KNOW you don't. |

Please tell me how...
Tavares after 3 years was better than Hall after 3 years
Tavares after 2 years was better than RNH after 2 years
Tavarers after 1 year was better than Yakupov after 1 year
Please tell me... I would love to hear this... |

I know this contract is getting ripped to shreds by a lot of fans, but I strongly believe that Mac T is trying to lock up his entire young core under the assumption that the cap will not only rise, but rise fast and significantly. And assuming RNH develops into the 1st line center that he's projected to be, then that's not bad value at all. the same thing happened during the last CBA after the lockout, a lot of the contracts signed the year after the lockout for good young players turned out to be pretty good value after the first year or so. I had no problem with the Hall/Eberle contracts since both will be top line players for a long time, if RNH can do the same(which sees very likely if he can stay healthy), then these contracts will look pretty good in a couple of years. |

The three Oilers missed a half year by default because of the lockout. so this doesnt work. |

They all would have missed those 40 games due to injuries anyway. |

Which makes Tavares more valuable and better, right? Exactly. His team made the playoffs, not the team of the walking wounded. |

Yeah, let's ignore PPG...
So using that logic, over the last several years, Tavares is clearly better than Crosby. Cool.
Tavares 195 pts after 2013 - 159
Tavares 148 pts after 2012, Crosby - 103
Tavares 67 pts after 2011, Crosby - 66 |

You forgot eberle, who outscored all of them in his first season, and is now widely regarded as the 4th best player in the kidz group.
Yak played 3rd line minutes.
Tavares is real good and an absolute steal of a contract league wide, ours are in that ballpark too. |
