Those are good lines too, but I'd swap Smith and Morin. |

#Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said Brandon Saad will start camp at center. - Sconnie
When Q talks about using Saad at centre it's easy to jump to the conclusion that he'd centre the 2nd line. But maybe Saad ends up centering the 3rd line and Shaw moves to the wing. |

No.
When Q talks about Saad playing center, it's his response to Bowman pushing Pirri on him. In other words, it's a subtle way of Q saying "no (frank)ing way" to Bowman's idea, let alone the idea of Bowman filling out Q's line-up card. |

Ok there Mr. Crankypants! You may be be right, time will tell. Like I've said before, I think Pirri starts the season as 2C but the role will be Kruger's shortly thereafter.
On another note, capgeek.com is now listing that both Crawford and Hjalmarsson have no movement clauses and modified not trade clauses. Not details on the modified NTC yet. I would have rather had no NTC at all, but a modified NTC is better than a full NTC. |

Who is this Bieber you speak of? Don't answer that, I'd rather live in ignorance. |

Smith will be on the team no matter what, imo. And the good thing with him is he is type of player that can play anywhere. Just a smart player who works hard. I still wonder if Morin will be on the team. I do like his game, though. |

Did you miss me?
I guess we'll figure out who called it right in October. I can wait for that.

No surprise here. It seems Stan likes including those like he's giving away new floormats with every car sold.
Also, this makes the Crawford deal officially suck. |

I wouldn't say that Smith can play anywhere. He can play on the bottom two lines. Honestly, it would be fair to say that Smith could spot anywhere in the line-up for a game or two when needed. |

Barring injury I agree that Smith will be on the team. While he's not the same type of forward as Frolik I expect he'll fill the 4th line / PK role. |

You have seen him a lot more than I have so I will take your word for it. I thought he looked good with better players like Hossa during the 2011 playoffs but it was only for a few games like you said. This team is different than most where playing on the bottom 2 lines doesn't mean the same as other teams where there isn't that much skill and all they do is hit people |

Supposedly Pirri spent the summer in Chicago working out. I hope he shows up at camp 10 or 15 pounds heavier and wins the 2c spot. Im going to the Saturday practice and hope he is noticable
Pirri as the 2c makes the lineup a lot more balanced |

Sadly, no. He's really serious about the 15 lb thing. Molly feels that Pirri needs the extra weight because he lacks enough "red ass" in his game. |

I think I have Pirri's 10-15 pounds.
I also have the 10-15 pounds we keep saying we'd like Kruger to put on, and a couple of the pounds TT needs.
They're not doing me any good. |

I'll help out a bit too, Stl; if we get a few of us together we can help the Hawks make the Kings, Bruins and Ducks seem small!! |

Arent you the one who constantly tells us Pirri is weak on the puck and get knocked off it easily? So now, when he supposedly spent the summer here working with the hawk strength staff you are giving me poop abut him gaining strength? What way do you want it or is it you just want to be a cranky pants
Would or would it not be good for Pirri to have more strength and more red ass in his game? |
