whe he was IN the lineup.. but he wasnt getting the same minutes he was before the injury.. all i am trying to say.. his poopty year would of still been a 30 point year |
|
|
|
no, gardiner and franson would of been eaten alive.. series wouldnt of made it to 7. those two are not that good at defense.. average at best. - Dozzer

well i was more saying that Franson was eating up the first unit PP time which relegated Liles to mop-up duty. |

I am practically giddy this year. Most optimism I have had in way too long. can't even wait for pre-season to start on Sunday! - vermie22
Same here...its been a rough couple of years, but things are finally looking good for the team. Really pumped for this season! |

no... as the season went on, opposing teams started playing their 4th lines more. and carlyle had to match with his 5/6 dmen. - Rockhead_37
there is no place for that type of sarcasm on these boards |

Then he got a bigger role and thrived.
Him and Gardiner rose to the occasion while the rest wilted - robin_steele264
Yup and thrived when it counted, which is really the only thing that counts |

Raymond doesn't fit the 4th line. Grinders that like to cycle. If we have Raymond, he'll be a 3rd liner. But the rest is good. Even spelled Blozaks name right.

I was told he is a 5/6 .... Jake Gardiner who has 1/3 career games, 1/3 career points is a lock in the top 4.... Franson has not proven anything...Gardiner has - senstroll

Liles has been the spit bucket of these boards for ages.
Today he's a top 4
Forgive me for being confused. - robin_steele264
Would you understand better if we said Liles was untouchable, or all-world?

i think this year will be different, at least in the second half. you'll need a 4th line that can play a regular shift later in the season. i can see McLaren sitting out as a healthy scratch pretty often. |

Fraser also dropped the mitts, and Clarkson will also drop the mitts. Seems redundant to have them both. |

his last shift of the year was pretty important... definitely "counted" and he took a lap to the top of the circle chasing the puck only to watch Boston end the series while he was way out of position.

VERY disturbed by something Nonis alluded to during presser today...essentially equating negotiations with Kessell to that of Bozak and that if he is not signed prior to/during the season, he can look to sign him between the end of the year and UFA day...VERY un-settling. Awfully big gamble to take considering what was given up to acquire him, his current production and future production. You can afford to let a college-FA signing go for nothing, but if Kessell is lost with no assetts coming back Nonis should be hung by his feet in Maple Leaf Square. Not a happy camper about this at all... |
