Yeah, I like that they serve alcohol at games, but you shouldnt get out of hand. People should be thrown out more often for behaving like an bumhole. But on that note. If your a philly sports fan.... you should know not to take your family to any playoff games. They get intense. So that to me is the parents responsibilty to keep their kids and wives away from that atmosphere. Not the drunks. You cant stop the drunks, but a smart parent can prevent any discomfort to their family.

I had a horrible experience in a club box (only time I've been in one) that was far worse than anything I've seen in my 211 Row15 (top row) seats.

We sat in row 2. There was a mom, dad, and 2 kids in the 1st row. Dad spent about 95% of the game a the bar, and mom (who I think was on pills) passed out about 5 minutes after the opening faceoff. The kids (MAYBE 8) were just getting up and running around the stadium. After mom threw up all over the place after the second intermission they left. But they weren't the worst...

Two "bros", if you will, sat down about halfway through the first in the row behind us, CLEARLY f'ed up. They were playing the Maple Leafs, and the guy behind me screamed out "GO HOME MOOSE F---ERS!" I though it was funny, so I laughed, the first time. unfortunately, he turned it into a chant, just him. I'm talking 20+ times in a row. Finally, a guy from one of the top rows in the 100s level screamed at him to stop since he was there with his kids. The guy above me then threatened to "Kick the s--t out of him." After security threatened him, he calmed down....wait, still going...

With about 1/2 minute left, the Flyers were up 3-1, and I hear this guy (who was arguing that, when up 2 goals, you should just kill off your own power plays) say, "I'm standing up for the rest of this mother f---er" and then I feel the beer dump all over me. I was there on my STH plan, so if I hit him (thank God my wife grabbed me), I would likely lose my season tickets.

Just 1 experience, but I so wish I'd stayed up high.

How anyone can get drunk off the watered down poop at the stadium is beyond me....i drank 20 bud lights once and all that happened to me was going to the bathroom....i think these (frank)s as i like to call them cant handle their god damn liquor...I laugh at those who are hammered @games, god damn two beer queers lol.

I think you should be allowed to take them, but understand that it's gonna be a lot rowdier than usual. That's your call as a parent.

Well like I said, these guys showed up already hammered. Also, the club boxes have better beer (from what I hear, I don't drink) than the concessions do, but for a lot more $$.

Playoff games do get intense, and I think a parent can bring a kid to a playoff game (there's no reason kids should be denied that), with the understanding that it will be intense. I attended quite a few as young as 11 and never had a problem.

Again, there's a responsible way to drink and an non-responsible way to drink. There's having fun and letting loose, and there's being a drunken wiener. Like you said, the ones who can't control themselves should be tossed.

The problem I have is the people who get loaded then drive home. This may be unpopular, but I wish more cops would basically just sit right outside of bars and pull over every 3rd person leaving.

I hear ya, driving drunk is just being inconsiderate for other peoples safety and anyone else in the vehicle. If cops did that though then whats the point in even having a bar??? Everyone knows, even cops that most of the cars in the parking lot will be driven home by someone intoxicated. Its just the way it is and I dont see it getting any better.

I've been to bars, and I've never had alcohol in my life. I like going and having fun with friends. But if you're gonna drive, get a DD, or call a friend, or call a cab. Again, have fun, but don't do anything that puts your life or other people's lives at risk. There's no way to stop them all, but there's no reason that a bar owner should be mad that intoxicated people can't drive home from his bar.

As a 7th, I'd prefer MAB. I liked his skating and physical edge that he played with before he sustained his concussions. I actually favored him over Gustafsson at that time.

I've been to bars, and I've never had alcohol in my life. I like going and having fun with friends. But if you're gonna drive, get a DD, or call a friend, or call a cab. Again, have fun, but don't do anything that puts your life or other people's lives at risk. I would say that at least 75% of the people at the bar any given night drive home after drinking.

It should be closer to 12 minutes a game tops. You overplay a player like Gervais, in the situation that the Flyers were in, and he's exposed. Far better defenseman then Gervais looked bad, last Season. Shore up the team defense, play him in the correct role, and he's fine.

I dont think he does but after years of drinking its just what happens. I can drink way more now than when I was 21. I dont even drink but maybe once a month now. I can still put them down though. Expensive nights I tell ya

In the current NHL, where defenseman blocks tons of shots, it is expected that your 7th defenseman will be playing over 17 minutes during several regular season games.

If you need to find ways to completely shield Gervais from ever playing over 12 minutes and making sure he never sees good players or defensive zone face-offs, then he's not a 7th d-man. He's an average AHL d-man.

Define a proven NHL depth defensman. He is a liability to any team he has played for his whole career. He is fine to fill a spot when your depleted with injuries but thats it. He isnt a regular bottom pairing defenseman. Thus confirming that he is a minor league defenseman. Thats where he plays until a team gets injuries.

Oh, I know it's not that simple. But all things being equal, unless there's 1-2 guys down at camp/preseason (so, 50/50) he should start the season in the AHL as long as the cap allows it.
