Welcome, and good blog!

Wow, been awhile since I've thought about posting hockey chat here.

I'd like to think the reason Rajala is allowed to go is because MacT knows that one of the reason many players didn't/don't want to play in Edmonton is because of the history of how they've treated some players and he wants to change that perception.

Well, that and he can't find a deal for another small skilled forward cause there's no room in the top 6 for him. Hell any of the forward prospects that aren't 6'2''+ might as well get looking for another place to play.

What makes it worse is the lack of late round steals.

Ya, that didn't help ether.

With the scouting putting as much emphasis on the players attitude and drive as they do now, I'm not sure when we will see another first overall bust the likes of those two again. I think we are more likely to see players like E. Johnson, good, but not great.

Ya, I can see that.

I am gonna have to agree with you. Should be an interesting season for sure.
- HouseArrest187

For the better of the league I hope they improve. Even the Flames. We have had too many years of weak sisters.

I think as fans we enjoy games that are close and chippy. Toronto had an excellent breakout year last year and Oilers are getting close. Oilers picked up some nice signings in the off season.

Agree, I like the close nail biting game, however I also enjoy the occasional blowout. Cough, hawks, cough.

You all bash Clouts' blogs but they he wrote them with the intention to keep you entertained, and all you haters kept coming back over and over again. He definitely was more interesting to read then this one in my opinion. It wasn't bad, just not a very interesting style of writing it seems, but it's still early.

- Ryan Garner

When Ryan Garner was blogging for the Sharks I always enjoyed reading his blogs. The Sharkbuzz post game shows were fun as well. Ryan will occasionally overstate things and I did not agree with every single thing that he wrote but from him you can expect creative thought-provoking blogs with independent honest opinion. Too bad that he was booed off stage by the too sensitive, all-is-well-in-our-land Sharks fans allergic to criticism of our team. Good luck, Ryan, I am sure you'll do a great job for the Oilers!
