I hope with the hole Rajala leaves in OKC it doesn't stunt the development of other players. It could have the opposite effect and guys step up and play great in a role that it wasn't thought they would be ready for, but I worry with less offensive production it could put added pressures on the D as well as the forwards trying to fill the void.
Agreed with most that He wouldn't have found full time in EDM so it's not a huge loss to the prospect pool, but he is an asset that has left for no return and that is disappointing.

As for Rajala. Disappointed to see him go. But all these guys want to make money. They make poop in ECHL/AHL. Most of them will never be legit NHLers. I have no worries with guys like Klef or Marancin because they will actually make big money as regular guys soon. The fringe guys? Well I doubt they will be missed by the Oil. They will be missed by OKC though.

I wonder if its Time for Mac T to start dealing prospects for prospects at the AHL or even Junior/college level? Some of those 18 yo Russians are kinda interesting but none of them will help OKC or the Oilers anytime soon. With Klefbom and Nurse and possibly Marincin logically fitting into the top 4 in the next few years, will we ever really need Gernat, Davidson or Musil? Wouldn't be a bad idea to get a couple bottom 6 forward prospects to play in the top 9 in OKC.

You all bash Clouts' blogs but they he wrote them with the intention to keep you entertained, and all you haters kept coming back over and over again. He definitely was more interesting to read then this one in my opinion. It wasn't bad, just not a very interesting style of writing it seems, but it's still early.

Clouts sucked. He and this guy (who so far is okay), are simply beneficiaries of a pretty good Oilers fan base on HB. I read the blogs and love the comment board.I read anything Oilers on here, and I always hated when Clouts referred to us as "his" readers.

With the scouting putting as much emphasis on the players attitude and drive as they do now, I'm not sure when we will see another first overall bust the likes of those two again. I think we are more likely to see players like E. Johnson, good, but not great.
