He probably wont cost you too much in trade value. 2nd pairing Dman and im sure that is all that would be needed to get it done. 1 year at 6.6m cap hit is left on his deal. He is very much tradeable especially if the Avs have to take back salary too, they have cap room to spare

But why would CGY take the risk on trading any assets that likely walks at the end of the year? ROR maybe because he's still RFA but I still don't see us giving up the assets that would likely be more than those for Statsny.

As my first blog I thought it would be necessary to introduce myself as an attempt to allow my new readers a real chance to get to know me. First of all - why in gods name would I want to introduce myself to a bunch of losers...you guys are Oilers fans!!??

Now that we have covered that, I would like to jump right into it. I will be doing a blog once a day to cover main points I feel the Oilers are struggling with and allow for discussions.

It is a gamble, he could walk, but also it can pay off to have him on the roster, like playing with the Flames and the kids, could get an extension done at a much cheaper rate that he would get during Free Agency. You have Jones and Galiardi on the roster already, those are 2 of his good friends, if there was any time I could see him signing an extension with, it would be the Flames.

Consistency is all I ask. Not one day he wants to be an insider and then the next he complains that people take him seriously as an insider.

Seriously though, i'm glad the oilers might get a half decent blogger. That's a big might though.

I don't know how much of what Clouts said was him trying to be funny or how much it was just mindless dribble, but whatever it was it wasn't what I came to this site for.

Hopefully they can get someone decent in there because i'd like to actually read some legitimate info about the team.

I have have a couple of contacts in the org myself, but nothing insider like... just a few email/phone calls...its too bad Im not in Calgary so I could meet some of these guys and get more info out of them though ....shot a question to Ken King this morning and had his VP of communications write me back lol...figured he didnt want Ken to say anything stupid.

The legit info is at oilersnation, but there was a time where we had a normal blogger and normal posters on this site. Then trolls took over and the normal bloggers left and the Oiler posters either left or joined in with the nonsense.

Be nice to get a normal guy talking about the Oilers, and if he has to talk about another team he does it in a respectable fashion. Not comes out swinging making fun of the other team.

I use the word he, because unless it's a lesbian I don't want a chick. I still want to see kate upton appear from time to time in oiler threads.
