Now you're not even comparing the Canucks to the Oilers because you cant do that, the Canucks deliver more hits and miss less games in general

and now since we're comparing RNH and Toews in general...lets look at missed games...

RNH has missed 28 games and Toews has missed 24...So basically you're right, RNH is as soft as Toews in general...and they may actually have very similar careers...but if you start comparing the Chicago Blackhawks entire roster to the Oilers in terms of toughness...you'd lose out again...

- annoyance_101

I was comparing players. Toews is considered a gritty player and certainly not soft. Using the formula of hits and games missed apparently RNH and Toews aren't far off from each other in terms of toughness

In terms of toughness, I would say they're about the same, in terms of their over all game and leadership however? I'd take Toews any day...so you've compared 1 player in the Chicago top 6...why not try that with the rest of them comparing their toughness? you'll lose every single time if you tried that...

Ahh you are back. Now no more telling facts about certain bloggers with the letters ESPN in their name, being dumb or stupid or whatever it is. Otherwise people like Micah will only prove the validity of your statement by getting defensive and banning you.

Right, now we can't even compare teams because Oilers are too young? THIS MAKES SENSE... you wouldnt wanna compare the first 2 seasons of the Canucks top 2 lines as they are now comparing to the Oilers first 2 seasons either...they've always been tougher through out their entire career
- annoyance_101

comparing the first 2 seasons wouldn't be fair for the sedins. They were trash til 2005

also not sure where to find hits in 2000-2001

yes I consider the sedins to be very durable players.

David Booth has missed 52GP the last 2 seasons
Kesler has missed 36GP the last 2 seasons
Burrows+Sedins=14 missed in last 2
Total: 102GP

Hall has missed 24GP the last 2 seasons (2 to suspension included)
RNH has missed 30GP the last 2 seasons
Eberle+Gags+Perron=36GP
Total: 90GP

I don't care how many games Sedin played in 2002. I wanna know how durable a player is now

Alright.

Hossa. 40GP 12 hits. Hall. 45GP 24 hits.
Kane. 47GP 11 hits. Eberle . 48GP 31 hits.
Sharp missed 22 games but certainly would have outhit somebody. Durability though
Rookies: Saad. 46GP 41 hits. Yakupov. 48GP 41 hits.
Stalberg. 47GP 43 hits. Perron 48GP 48 hits

Not saying EDM is close to as tough as CHI, but you wanted it. Don't think I've lost. There's the top 6

Uh the oilers are considered soft and the canucks are not considered as soft as that because the Canucks players in general do not miss the amount of games that the Oilers have been doing in their respective careers and the Canucks players deliver more hits than them also?

the team that deals more hits and has more durability = tougher team

- annoyance_101

The Canucks are considered to be very soft.

ok here we go

Henrik Sedin hasn't missed a game in the past 8 seasons (the 2nd most durable player in the league in fact)

Daniel Sedin has missed 11 games in the past 2 seasons (sat out the last game of this season to not risk injury for the playoffs)

wtf was the point in that?

Yes they are, so it should really worry you that the Oilers are considered to be even softer than that Hence why esplen said what he did about them that is what started this conversation to begin with

yes. after I clearly said "I consider the Sedins to be very durable players"

I'd hoped that, that would clarify that when I said "I don't care how many games the Sedins played in 2002", it meant I don't need to know information that is useless to the conversation and that I already know how few games the Sedins miss.

Apparently hard for some to pick up on

was again to clarify that I don't need to know how many games the sedins have missed in 12 seasons.

What's useless is this conversation.

I have to agree with you Yance

Ryan Kesler is a premier "Two Way" player who really enjoys grinding in the corners.
