Early days Blackhawk Roenick or the Roenick crying on national TV after the Blackhawks beat the Flyers in OT to win the Stanley Cup in 2010?

Please advise. Thank you.....

completely understand...however, the desire to be in the building to see them dispose of the devils would have been too overwhelming, iow, worth the risk of the epic collapse.

And my wife is great about it. She really couldn't believe I wasn't going.

We watched the Flyers sweep the Rangers on our wedding day (well she didn't but the rest of the wedding party did) and we only turned it off long enough to get married. She even waited for intermission.

When we got back from our honeymoon my father-in-law picked us up at the airport, dropped me off at the Spectrum for the first game of that years Devils series and drove her home. I caught a ride with my friend after the game.

I have no reason to complain.

not gonna lie, I also loved Chelios as a Blackhawk
even after hearing about what he did to Propp.
I was born in 83 and too young to really process it at the time. But I was a wrestling fan and just thought it was like a great heel move. I loved the villains.

and naturally I loved Hextall's retailiation just as much.

Podein? I never thought that would be a name that came up. He was a great guy. My favourite Flyer other than Clarke & Barber was TJ Gorence

Started with Clarke as my favorite Flyer, but the members of the Rat Patrol line were definitely favorites. I remember being vaguely disappointed when the Flyers traded Kenny Linseman.

The Straw was great in the Simpsons softball ringer team episode. I remember watching the Jays and I think it was the Yankees play in a Dunedin spring training game in the late 90's. Strawberry came up, and I started the Daryl, Daryl, Daryl chant.. .. I swear I saw him wipe a tear from his eye.. lol

I think in the same game, Canseco was playing for the Jays. It was straight out of the Simpsons. I kept expecting to run into Ken Griffey Jr with Gigantism at the concession stand....lol

Holy smoke, me too. I loved the Dykstra-Backman led lineup. I "owned" them in the APBA league I played in from 1984 - 1990. I won four World Series with them, IIRC.

Bobby Clarke was my first sports hero. I later got more into baseball as it was a sport I could play locally -- they didn't have a league where the goalie defended a radiator outside of our apartment above the old "Haddonwood Liquors" my dad co-owned. In that apartment, though, I can vividly remember Dad going through his hockey cards and showing my brother and me the stickers featuring the NHL teams' logos and putting aside the Flyers' cards for us to view.

I've had other sports heroes since Bobby became Bob -- Gene Hart, Bill Barber, Mike Schmidt, Harold Carmichael, Dave Poulin, Andy Van Slyke -- but no one compares to Clarkie when it comes to heart and tenacity. Poulin only became my absolute favorite because he lacked one thing Clarke had: incredible talent. The fact that Poulin closed that gap with heart is a testament to his passion as a player. I would love to see him come back to the Flyers' fold one day...

I have only watched a handful of games (replayed/recorded) during The Rat's time here, but I feel as though Kenny Linseman would have been one of my all-time favorites had I been able to grow up watching hockey while he played for the Flyers.

So, on a scale from 1 (Bouregard, Houle) to 10 (Parent, Pelle), how do you think the Flyers are in goal right now, if you had to predict? And how would you rate last year.

I think last year was a 5. It was average to below average, not disgraceful (contract aside). Right now, I'm feeling a 6, maybe pushing a 7.
