Actaully its every American's right to hate whoever they want. It only becomes illegal when the hate is acted upon.

Cause that my opinion, Its not like Mason just came to Philly and got a hot streak coming off the bench, You could clearly see that Mason was the more talented goalie, at least he can move post to post and stop a breakaway.

Why are you defending a goalie who arguably one of the worst goaltenders we have had. Even Boucher could post better numbers than that with the same defense. Im out.... Bryz is gone, thank god, we will be a much better team without him. You will see.

One question. Did Steve Mason carrie the Columbus Blue Jackets on his back to the playoffs every year? It sounds to me that's what you expected of Ilya Bryzgalov and will be expecting of Steve Mason. This observation is based on your last few posts.

Yeah I don't see many men going out on the ice with knives on their feet in their underwear. So don't give me that....

I've got a good story involving a game of strip Tony Hawk Pro Skater, an exercise bike, a guy doing an Egyptain walk with 2 girls facing different directions (think about it), and a naked man falling off a bed with his arms and legs sticking striaght up in the air wedged between a bed and a table. Maybe one day...

I'm expecting Steve Mason (or Ray Emery) to be a competent goalie capable of giving the Flyers solid goaltending for under $2M (each) a year.

From Mason, I expect Right handed Robbery instead of Left handed Larceny.

Also....I expect Hextallian handling of the puck.

I caught every single one of Mason's starts as a flyer last season and I have a question for all of you. Was Steve Mason better than Ilya Bryzgalov? Did Mason out play Bryzgalov? My response is that I didn't see enough starts from Mason to say that he did. I'm not even positive even with Bryzgalov gone that Mason will be our starter. He could end up being next summer's joke.

Next question. How good of a season did Claude Giroux have this part season?

- dingo8urbaby

For Giroux's circumstances, he had a fine season. His left winger was constantly changing, and the team as a whole was playing poorly, but he only put up a marginally worse point pace than in 11-12.

He also had to take more defensive zone faceoffs than any other player in the NHL

This question may offend some of you, but I was thinking about it on the way to work this morning:

Do you really think you could beat up Sidney Crosby in a street fight? He's 5'11", 200lb, and probably has under 5% body fat. That's not big by hockey standards, but for a regular person, that's actually impressive. So, could you take Crosby?

If both can't be good, one will have to be. I like both goaltenders. With this said Steve Mason reminds me of when the flyers picked up Martin Biron at the trade deadline six years ago. So much excitement over the pick up of a goaltender who played well during a span of games that no longer mattered. We weren't making the playoffs after we picked up Biron. The real test hasn't even begun yet.

And there's that. If he's played the correct way (consistent line mates, faceoff relief, more offensive zone starts, etc) I don't doubt he'd be able to put up 90 points again.
