Look at the comment that you posted that you would like to delete. in the upper right hand corner of that post is a tab marked "x." Click on that tab, and scroll down. It should be self explanatory after that. |

Any thoughts on hiring of steven Weeks as new goalie coach? Not Kevin weekes, either. Steven Weeks |

Indeed.
I'm waiting on the AHL schedule to be released. Then we will have to plan a Hockeybuzz outing. |

Tough call but I do think Kane is as deserving as any player. 8 goals in the final 9 playoffs games and though he failed to get an apple on Bickell's tying goal, he had more to do with that play than anybody. Knifing into to the zone around three guys and getting that puck to Keith. That was unreal. But for you conspiracy theorists, I will say this:
1) the NHL was probably not keen on the idea of giving the Conn Smyth to a goalie for the third year in a row. Sorry Crawford.
2) Though giving it to an American born player for the third year in a row probably sits very with NHL exects.
3) Kane sells jerseys and tickets, the NHL wants him to be a face of the league. Easy pick for those looking for increased marketing and revenue in today's NHL. |

So that was who that was about? Lol. Yeah that sums it up. I read somewhere an ex-teammate of Sharp's at Vermont might have been a choice. I think he does work for the hawks somewhere. Can't remember his name |

Look at who votes---a handful of hockey writers, mostly from the cities of the Finalists. Based on that, any American player who had a performance that was close to the most valuable without actually being a "hands-down" standout winner is going to get the votes.
It would be hard to single out 1 player on a team where a number of guys made significant contributions, but I agree with Kane---the MVP was Crawford. The Hawks could not have won without Bickell, who was such a force. Ditto Toews.
The NHL had nothing much to do with it---voting is by hockey writers, so far as I know.

My question is...who will be blamed for the first "softie" Crawford gives up next year? Crow or the new goalie coach?
Only thing I'll guarantee is that someone on this board will be b!tchin' about it. |

I'll go ahead and just blame Crow right now for his first soft goal. There you go...done. He's not elite after all. |

So we're going to blame Weeks for all the subsequent soft goals? |

Back on topic,
I would pick Crawford.
Also the Blackhawks have the last Canadian and American to win the Conn Smythe |

I would've gone with Crawford personally but I think Game 4 cost him the Conn Smythe (even though he won). That being said Kane was a good choice. |
