If anyone tried for the mini pack lottery and didn't get selected, let me know. I don't plan on using mine as I got a bunch of tickets from a friend. I can give you my code to purchase. Just PM me. First person gets the code. I don't know how high the demand is for these. |

I don't know why you Oiler fans are so hell bent on trading someone (Nick Schultz) every time a kid is ready to go...you still need these players, it's called depth. I live in Edmonton and hear it every day on the radio from the local clowns. - Irk17

1. you like having upset players on the team you cheer for?
2. in the short interview, he worded to make it sound like they cannot afford him due to salary cap, so if you're saying so what to one of your best players potentially getting traded...well then there are no words...and no he wont be worth that much in value, as he has only had 1 good half season |

why not trade kessel for yakupov? and no thats not a trolling type post...if the leafs cant afford kadri, they sure as heck wont be able to afford kessel much longer...and yakupov can showboat his game tying goals where they live and breath hockey...it would temporarily solve the leafs cap issue...until the cap goes far up next year...which it will because it always did before...only problem is that might handcuff the oilers when they try and sign RNH... |

only problem is EDM gets a 26YO Kessel for 1 season before he can walk and TO gets a 20YO Yakupov for potentially the next decade |

uhh ok...if you have that little confidence that kessel wont sign there...what does that say about other UFA's and Yakupov in 2 years for that matter? |

Huge difference between ufa and RFA.
Not a chance in hell I even remotely consider your deal for a millisecond..... |

Kessel came to Toronto with a whole lot of acrimony. He's survived the spotlight, been a core contributor, resisted criticism and helped his team from the basement to the playoffs. I could see how he wouldn't be interested in going into another rebuilding team with high pressure fans who would be shocked that we gave up Yakupov for him.
At the very least, it seems like a different situation than for most of our RFAs that were drafted and groomed by us and treated like saints. |

With any luck you will secure another 1rst overall again this season....fingers crossed. Love the talent but everyone will get to the point where they say...get me the F**K out of here. - VanHockeyGuy
u mean like the 7 year contract that hall has starting this year?
or like the 6 year contract eberle has starting this year?
you know 2 of those said core were rookies last year right? one of em actually just 18.
one of the other ones was 19 last season.
how are they not killing it and winning cups already?
failed rebuild |

you watch too much tv and let every story the media makes into exactly what theyre hoping for...an actual story.
you seem to be their target audience.
he didn't seem mad to me. its part of the BUSINESS. simple as that.
he wants one thing, they want another. and they'll eventually sort it out. regardless of which direction it goes.
kadri's value would be very high right now if they decided to deal him.
but that's a longshot. he'll sign sooner or later |

If I had to choose to sign with either Edmonton and Toronto, theres no doubt i would choose edmonton...i do realize theres a difference between RFA and UFA status there...but you may not be able to afford yakupov in the long run either and then you'd be in a situation that the leafs are in with kadri...they cant seem to afford him currently...to that offer I would add Liles and Kadri for Hemsky and Gagner...edmonton could buy out liles if they wanted and sign Kadri...i dont understand why they havent bought Liles out yet tbh...that would fix everything to do with cap space obviously i'm bored or i wouldnt even be thinking or talking about this |

The only tv ive watched is dexter and the killing in the off season for hockey...please tell me how my tv watching habits affect this conversation again Columbo
As I explained in my last post, I'm just bored and making stuff up...you dont have to agree or disagree with it, i'm not attacking anyone with what I said...
I do however have to disagree with you about Kadri's value...i dont think its quite as high as you may think...he would warrant a very good prospect or a very high 1st...I'd agree to that if thats what you mean...but not a whole lot more |

I think it's no surprise EDM isn't a hot UFA destination.
Yak's an RFA in 2 years. Then I bet he gets locked down to a 6-7 year deal |

If Nonis wasnt an idiot they wouldnt have any problem signing both Kadri and Franson. Cap increasing and big bad contracts coming off the Oils books next year will leave them in fine shape. - Iggysbff
I don't think the oilers are in bad shape cap wise...thats why I believe that this trade could work out for both...at least the first part, until i added a bunch to it out of sheer boredom... Oilers are more likely going to be able to pay Kessel than the Leafs currently |

the main reason that ufa's have not signed in edmonton is because the team has absolutely sucked and a lot ufa's dont wanna go through a rebuilding team...but if i looked at the roster right now, i'd say the are just a few pieces away from contending and this is coming from a canucks fan...toronto on the other hand...I believe got lucky last year that the year wasn't longer... |

Agreed, though there was a time somewhere in season 4 where I could feel the writers typing y'know? Like, how many fukking things are going to happen to/ with SAMCRO this week guys?
Having said that I'm all in.
But that poop with Pope was great.
Breaking Bad is back too brah. |

Im late to the party with Walt. Waiting until this season is done and then I will do an epic watch-a-thon.
This is Sons last season too isn't it?
Knew Jax would get him. He's too smart. |

Oilers are in better shape to pay Kessel but why the (frank) would we want to? Yak will be just as good if not better and still cheaper and younger. Let's just end this. Kessel for Yak would be a non starter. |

The part with Jemma and Clay was great too. Clay's face...priceless. |
