Godsmack, Saliva, and Drowning pool and Disturbed are not good bands. Sorry, they obviously seem to be popular with a few posters here but i cant stand them. they are all bro bands in my opinion. A bunch of guys who wanna scream "F*ck yeah!" and tell people how hardcore they are and listen to a whiny chorus singing about the problems in their life. Its frustrating because there are a lot of way better bands that deserve to be played in arenas and on the radio and so on but they wont get the chance because the masses wont give them a chance. Cliche's are overrated and thats all Disturbed, Drowning Pool, and Saliva are |

Do you think he can be close to 50/50 in the NHL? I guess I am concerned he will be around 30/70 - BearsnHawks

I wouldn't underestimate the face off coaching Perreault will bring to the team. If he can get Shaw and Kruger to 50% - 55% consistently I will be happy. |

Put a list of 20 of your songs up for us to see. I listen to all kinds of music, but when I play hockey, this is what I like to have going. Doesn't make it a crime...

It doesn't need to get you going. It is like saying "the sky is blue." It is just a truthful statement and its truth is why you play it. |

Hey - I was only half joking... if there's anyone that would be able to do it... I would pick him.
Plus keep in mind a full year of a healthy(er) Handzus. He's a stud at the dot when he doesn't have a broken wrist. |

Can't believe you're using a lame excuse like a "broken wrist" for an excuse for why Handzus couldn't produce at the dot. |

I might be a little older than some, but sorry, these all just suck. If bands have to tune their guitars down more than one step and have excessive distortion effects on their guitars it just means they can neither sing nor play their guitars well.
A few suggestions anyway:
AC/DC - If You Want Blood You Got It
Scorpions - Blackout
Helter Skelter - The Beatles
Complete Control - The Clash
Right Now - Van Halen
Personally, I prefer the old days when all it took was Frank Pellico and the organ. |

Since this blog is about music, I am gonna throw this out there, and maybe you can help.
My daughter is a singer / Club DJ who is attempting to produce an album without the help of a recording company.
She Is on Facebook and www. DJColette, if you want to see /hear her.
Her previous recording company was taking a huge cut and wanted control over the content and just how many songs they would produce.
She is attempting to produce the CD with help of MusicPledge.com and all fans who are generous enough to help.
Anyone contributing can get the CD for their contribution, and there are many other Thank You gifts including a VIP pass to the live debut on Oct. 17th (hopefully) on Sunset Strip at the Viper Room, as long as you don't leave and die on the street outside like River Phoenix did....I am gonna be there too!
So if you can find it in your heart to heart, I will appreciated too.
www.pledgemusic.com/artists/Colette
There is only a small window of time left to contribute, and she doesn't anything unless she reaches the goal...you don't get credited /charged unless she makes the 100% mark.
Anyway, thanks for considering it, guys/ gals.

As a Woodstock person, I am still stuck with Cream as my favorite band.
It was as if my wife toldme to turn down / off the radio/stereo so many times in the early middle 1970's , I felt disconnected from so many really good bands and rock venues that I learned later to appreciate through cover bands, and finding these "older" songs now.
To me the UC music was something that many times was new sounding....the thing I don't like is when you go to twenty different areans and they all seem to have a set playlist ...to me that sort of cheapens the experience.
I am more than willing to hear anything, to get a foothold into the on ice happenings, butvi get so focused on the game you better play high energy that fits to draw me closer to the hoickey action.

Re: Johns
Wiz did not even have him rated high on a list. Just wait and see how he turns out. There are several AHL watchers who will report on the Icehog. - jhawk59
Let's just compare Wings Danny DeKeyser, Canucks Frankie Corrado and even offensive wonder Justin Schultz.
Corrado was let develop in Sudbury, and both Schultz and award winning DeKeyser were season vets on good clubs.
All were elevated and asked to learn on the job and were clearly good players when asked.
ALL started strong but met with growing pains and just to add Wings Brendan Smirh as guy who was given a little more time to get ready both in college and minor pro, you can see that these guys still need time.
Johns needs to continue to play under control and hold his position.
There are things to like about him, and the other young hawk defenseman, but I just think it is wise to not start making the demean the heir apparents to the seasoned veteran corps before we do have to start letting them go to get CAP space.
That was really all my point was...

If we are talking Blackhawk hockey, they need to play or show some good old Chicago 6 music. The old-timers will remember them. It was from the mid 80's and it was 6 bears and 6 Hawks. Troy Murray, Curt Fraser, and someone else were from the Hawks. Payton and Dan Hampton were from the Bears. They played some clubs. I remember a charity concert with Twist and Shout and Bruce Springsteen's I'm Going Down. They weren't terrible. |

You don't have to be old to have bad taste in music and this music doesn't suck, you just don't like it. And that is your opinion.
AC/DC - If You Want Blood You Got It - I can think of a dozen other AC/DC songs I would rather hear
Scorpions - Blackout - I like the Scorps...
Helter Skelter - The Beatles - Would rather hear the Shout At The Devil version or any other song off that Motley Crue release
Complete Control - The Clash - Violent Femmes all day
Right Now - Van Halen - Sammy and VanHalen...Really!?!?
