That we played against different teams, for different years, during different eras of hockey. Your bragging about a time that you likely weren't alive through. That's cute and all but rather pointless. - IggyOnly
The debate was... who is the better franchise... the numbers dont lie. and if you want to go from when I was born until now, which was 1986. I still win that debate. Try again
And dont throw your 89' cup at me cause if thats your defense then your implying that the Lightning are better then the flyers, which is a joke |

It depends on criteria. Seriously, anyone can use any set of data to back their arguement. Your criteria is wins/ losses plain and simple. What about cup wins, PO appearances, contracts signed, drafting, player and family care.....
By the way, since '86, we have 3 final appearance with 1 win. So..... |

As long as Feaster is the GM.... Good Luck! He didnt win the Cup for tampa. He took over when the team was already built and then completely dismanteled that team and made them losers again. and now look at you guys. Feaster is horrible
Feaster also has a horrible draft record, look up the draft picks he made for tampa. They have all collectively played maybe a total of 10 NHL games. - GOA88

I don't buy that Feaster went into last year with the preperation for a tear down. They wanted Iggy signed for a life time contract last summer but Iggy wanted no part. He then went and paid big for Wideman, picked up Hudler and tried to offer sheet ROR. That does not scream rebuild to me.
Feaster after the trade deadline even admitted that he read the team completely wrong. Make no mistake Feaster and KK were in full denial going into this season and really thought they would make the playoffs. They pretty much had to have a hammer dropped on their head to realise the rebuild was necessary. I am glad the hammer dropped. - nigelwright275
^This.
IMO the Flames rebuild started at the draft this year when they used the picks they had collected for selling Iggy and Jbo. The decision was made at the TDL, but the rebuild is only just starting this year, because last year started with a full roster of 'we're pushing for the playoffs'. That doesn't count as a rebuilding year to me.
However, the trolls will insist that you guys are alreday in year 4 of your rebuild, and the Oil are in year 8... |

Why? You are so hell bent on using your marvelous regular season record to prove your teams awesomeness. Their are so many other things to base it on. To me I'll give 1 arguement, 35 years, NO CUPS.

Gaudreau, Knight, Gillies, Broissoit, Klimchuk, Poirier, Wotherspoon......... Your lagging behind. Youre where we were 3 years ago. - TandA4Flames
all you did was name off prospects, not the fact that AV didn't ever play the Canucks prospects...oh well...Unless Calgary's system improves considerably (which they've shown no reason that it should) Gillies isn't going to be of any help, they had one of the best goaltenders in the league on their team for years and still failed |

You did the same thing you listed your prospects I listed ours. What the hell does AV playing or not playing them have to do with anything?
You guys had 2 goalies and did nothing with them so what's your point there? |

if the rest of the team is poop a goaltending prospect will be of no use, so one of your prospects will be of no use |

According to this guy , just on stats edmonton, Montreal and Detroit would be the best franchises lol

The problem isn't always the pick, its the comments following the pick like they had those guys ranked even higher...it reminds me of what Burke said about Rielly, basically saying if he had the 1st over all pick, he would have picked rielly over yakupov... - annoyance_101
That wasn't just lip service from Burke, though. There was an interview before the draft where Nonis said they had a centre (presumably Galchenyuk) and a defenceman tied on the top of their list. He went on to say if both were available then they would take the centre, but they'd be happy with both. I believe them when they say they would've taken those two players over Yakupov, I think Montreal would've taken Galchenyuk 1st, too. |

I assume you are talking about Janko and Porrier, both who were invited to the WJ Camp unlike Ceci, Koekkoek and Samual Morin who were taken ahead of them and not invited.
Are you ripping Tampa, Philly and Ottawa for their picks. Shouldn`t be, way to early to judge.

Ottawas been doing great drafting in the past 5 years, Philly hasn't done terribly, I think they stole Couturier, and tampa has not done well at all drafting ever since feaster was there...any idiot would have taken stamkos...drouin was the right pick for their team though, but again, at that point, it was between him and seth jones...they needed to replace st louis before anyone else...they've done that now |

It's going to be a 2a,2b,2c type year with the hot streak line getting to play more |
